Spargs Sutherland fuel on 26 Sutherland street Mthatha are selling **** gas, on the 28/06/2025 I bought a 9 kg gas cylinder, got home and used it for my heater, and on the 4/07/2025 this gas is finished, mind I only use it for my heater, which I get home and switch on then later switch it off and go to bed as you know you can’t sleep with a gas heater on so as a result I only use this heater when I return from work and in the morning when I prepare for work. This gas has lasted me exactly 6 days how possible is that if a 9kg was filled ? The store unfortunately had no F’a to give told me that’s my problem not theirs… normally a 9kg cylinder with last me at least 2 months as I live alone and in the only person using this heater.

Shopped at spargs beacon bay east london. Part of my groceries were 3 x eggs. One of the brands was sunrise. Noticed that the other brand where i bot 2 eggs (18) was rotten inside. So I returned them, the 18. Unfortunately I did not have a slip, but fortunately I had paid with my bank card . They managed to retrieve my slip form thier system Called Sigma which showed all items I bot on that day... when it was time for a refund, Brett who is said to be the store manager refused to refund me for the rotten eggs as he stated that I did not produce the egg cover sheet which is placed on the eggs which shows the name of the eggs and which supplier they belong to... I said all that information is already on the slip he had printed for me. He then told me it's thier company policy to have the branding paper when returning the eggs. Asked how possible is that to keep the branding of the eggs as well as the plastic wrap as I store my eggs in the fridge in a plastic egg container immediately when I arrive from the store after I buy eggs. He bluntly refused together with his colleague a lady named Doreen who was the 1st person I spoke to on my arrival Before I left he said to take my contact details and will pass them to his Manager Travis Vincent to call me ....... I have not recieved any call from Travis Vincent since the weekend 04 04 2025. Today is the 08.04.2025. I was then forced to go back home with there rotten eggs from Beacon bay bay to gonubie where I reside...now I have lost money buying rotten eggs from them. this is poor customer care and I'm extremely dissapointed at the store manager for him to refer me to his manager when he is the one appointed to handle such when directors are not around. Poor management and customer care skills I am disgusted and I want my refund.

Be alert and check your tillslip. Sometimes specials advertised instore not loading on point of sale tills. Had a recent experience where the product soecial was adverised on a huge A4 sign posted right at the product with date of special running until 29 September. Product scanned at normal price at tillpoint. When I complain the supervisor on duty fetch the printed sign from the perspex holder, then refunded me and om my enquiry on why removing the add was told that the special is over. She just ignored me when I pointed out the printed dates on the pamplet. How many other shoppers was caught paying the full price and not promoted special before me pointing it out to them and then they just rwmove the sign and end the special 5 days earlier! This creates the impression of a don't care retailer and is a very negative brand experience.

Kei Spargs in Mthatha is a total disgrace. I bought a plate of food only to discover the mixed veggies was off... not suitable for human consumption. As a result I experienced food poisoning. Never again will I buy food there!

Engcobo Spargs in the Eastern Cape is selling rotten foods. Countless times I've bought some expired food, they change their expiry date labels to something that is fresh...This one time i bought cream buns that had fungus, but the expiry date was saying something otherwise,i took it back and demanded my money, this one time i bought scones, they also had fungus, bought cooked meat, the smell on its own tells a story about the product. This is sickening because this is food poisoning, people get sick from eating expired goods,i need this to go viral until it reaches the right hands,we are just a small town that has few shops,so what do we do she these shops as well sell expired goods..I'm furious about the situation.
