I ordered a 200g char-grilled steak (For my husband) from Spur Silver Cove (Metlife, Port Elizabeth) via Uber Eats and received a steak that was clearly closer to 125g. (While mine was close to 200g) The portion was way too small and the steak was extremely thin, which makes it very obvious that it was not the correct size.
I asked for medium rare, but it arrived crispy on the edges and well done throughout, completely overcooked.
To make things worse, Uber refused to refund me, despite the order being incorrect. I’ve spent thousands of rands on Uber Eats in a short period of time, so this response was extremely disappointing.
Overall, a very poor experience, both with the restaurant and Uber. I’ll be taking my business to Mr D from now on, and I don't be ordering from Spur again.
