Do not buy solar products from Star Solar

Do not buy from the website www.starsolar.co.za. You will be scammed out of your hard earned money. They advertise all sorts of inverters, batteries and solar panels.

I placed an order and paid for a Growatt Inverter and Lifepo4 battery at the beginning of November. The items were to be delivered the following day through The Courier Guy. Lots of excuses, and days later I had to do a cash send for the items to be delivered via an Uber driver.

Wrong inverter, and the battery not the same as the one advertised on the website - old and damaged. I immediately contacted William, whos contact details reflect on the website.

He advised it would be replaced with the correct items. He sent an Uber driver to collect the inverter. Said they will send the correct inverter. Some time later he advised no stock available and that I would be refunded.

Stopped taking my calls, ignoring WhatsApp messages and to date no refund.

I opened a case at SAPS, pending investigation. If you do not want to be conned out of your money, do not buy from this establishment.
