Be warned against Starfish Media
Please stay far away from this company. They will quote you for an e-commerce website, make excuses for not delivering, accuse you for not being appreciative (of the price that they say was quoted under "market value" to start off with). You get quoted extra amounts to personalize your site. After payment of the additional charges most of the changes will never get done. I never once negotiated or asked for a discount .... If you complain about service you will be told that the team is offended and don't want to work with you. You have paid extra for an email address - that's fine. But you are never given it! You are then quoted more (as a "fine" for not being appreciative). If you refuse to pay this additional cost and ask for your unfinished website with passwords, they suspend your site, withhold your email address and threaten to invoice on hours lost??? Even after your shop was not even started... You have paid hosting for a year and have nothing to show for your money. Huge scam!!! Will be taking legal action and would invite anyone else who has been scammed to join me.

17 Sept 2020, 12:24Update... website suspension is pending by Starfish Media. I have been given a few hours notice to pay an an additional amount for for additional hours lost due to me not wanting to proceed. PS: paid in full for 1 year hosting, an email address and full e-commerce site. I also paid an additional amount for extra hours to make the additional changes I wanted. These changes were not done, three deadlines were missed by Starfish. Any extentions given to me to submit my part was agreed by Starfish in writing, After cutting my losses and asking for back end and email address handover (for me to complete the site on my own), I still have no email or site. And am now being threatened with legal action for this review - which is apparently false.

26 Oct 2020, 11:141. This is an incomplete site where my final changes were never made. I was not able to use what was done by you as you did not finish the job.
2. We were blocked from getting into our own site. When I asked for the login details twice at the end and told you that I needed them, you ignored me. I could therefore not complete my site on my own and had to start again.
3. I paid exactly what you quoted. I always said I would pay for extra work. I sent the extra work requirements and you quoted me on it. I paid for it and yet you would not complete it unless I paid more.. There was no negotiation done my me.
4. I delinked when you refused to help me further unless you received more money. You also told me that you would suspend my site if I did not pay you more money. I had no other choice. Not only did was I not able to complete my site. I had to start from scratch with another supplier. The time (and costs associated with the time wasted) exceed my financial outlay significantly.
5. I asked for my shop to be loaded and I sent a spreadsheet. It had over 20 completed products but you refused to load it. I dont think you ever looked at it as you told me I first needed at least 20 products - and I had sent more than 20. I as quite happy for you to do one upload and for me to take it from there. You simply refused to even do the one upload. I therefore paid for an upload that I never got. The supplier I used in the end let me load all my products on an e-commerce site myself. It was such a pleasure to work with someone else. No drama and hassles like I experienced with you. I asked to load my own products with you and it simply was not an option with you.
I am now happy with my site (which I actually paid less for). I have given my review on your services. I feel strongly about customer service and have noting to gain by sharing my experience. I have given up on getting my money back from you, and have paid the other supplier for my site.
