About a month ago, I drove past a dog in Zandspruit whose back legs were either broken or paralyzed. I knew if I didn’t stop, she would die a slow, painful death. So I picked her up. She was in agony, but her eyes were full of love, all she wanted was kindness in return.
I believe she had been abused and left to die. I didn’t know what to do, so I called Strubens Vally Vet. The woman who answered was incredibly kind and caring. She told me to bring the dog in and they would try to help, no hesitation, no talk of money, just genuine concern.
I was shocked. In a world where most Drs are driven by profit, this vet truly cared. The team at Strubens Valley Animal Hospital welcomed her, put her on a drip, and did everything they could. Sadly, she didn’t make it. But I’m grateful she passed away in a place of safety, not alone in the sun, starving or suffering further.
I have deep respect for the staff and vets at Strubens Valley Animal Hospital. They showed compassion, integrity, and heart. They reminded me that there are still people doing this work for the right reasons. God bless them for their kindness and dedication.
