Since I was new to the dog parenting world, I brought my dog to Sunninghill Vet Village for a routine check-up. The Dr. was very friendly and thorough. She examined my dog from nose to tail. She detected an ear infection and some plaque on his teeth. She booked a dental cleaning for him.
But on the day of the cleaning, they noticed that his gums were pale. They contacted me immediately and requested permission to do some tests. They found out that he had two types of tick bite fever and that he was anaemic. They informed me of everything and offered me choices for treatment (alternatives for cost purposes).
I decided to let them keep him overnight with a drip. They were awesome. They sent me a lovely photo of him all snug and a charming message from him. They fed him delicious stew and showered him with affection. They also sent me a letter with all the facts about his condition. I was able to visit him that afternoon. They kept me in the loop and rep**** to all my queries.
I was anxious about the price since I was still waiting for the pet insurance to kick-in. They gave me an estimate upon request. When I paid, it was almost exactly what they quoted. Worth every cent!
When I came to pick him up the next day, a vet came in and instructed me how to continue treatment at home and provided me with printed discharge instructions. This gave me such peace of mind that everything would be okay.
As a first-time dog mom, caring for a sick dog can be daunting. Sunninghill Village Vet treated us with compassion, excellence, and efficiency. I highly recommend entrusting your fur babies with them.
