I contacted Suzuki Bryanston to report that my car battery was giving me problems. I bought the vehicle brand new from your dealership around 1 year and 7 months ago. The person I spoke to informed me that the battery warranty had expired, as it only covers 12 months but they can check and try to assist me.I also mentioned that my vehicle is due for a service soon and shared the current mileage. Based on that, I was advised to bring the car in so it could be checked.
However, when I arrived at the dealership, I was told that I should go to a battery centre instead. Naturally, I asked why I was told to drive all the way there if the dealership was not going to assist me.
I was then addressed by someone named Jean ****s, who told me that I was not forced to come in and that I shouldn’t blame the dealership. I found this response quite unprofessional. Instead of being defensive, I expected better communication and at the very least, an apology for the inconvenience.
Advising customers poorly and then blaming them for following your own instructions is not the kind of service I would expect from a trusted dealership. I hope this experience is noted and addressed internally, as it left me feeling disrespected and dismissed.
