Today I phoned the Swatch Group in Sandton to see if I could buy a part for an Omega Co-axial watch. They flatly refused to sell any spares to me. Aparantly it is orders from Mr Kai Ebbinghaus, who is the manager and will not sell spares to watchmakers. This alone is reason enough for me to discourage anyone to purchase or own an Omega watch. This is compounded by the fact that the quality of Omega watches is poor compared to what it used to be 30 years ago. Avoid buying an Omega watch.
