A cautionary to anyone intending to purchase a Swiss watch. Especislly an Omega, Tissor or Swatch. The agents are the Treger Swatch Group in Sandton. The quality of those products are NOT worth what you pay. Compounded by the fact that there is extremely little customer care. This is especially true in the fact that they will NOT sell spares. If the watch needs attention or repairs, they insist the product has to be handed to them only for repair or intervention. They will then charge their rediculously over inflated prices. This is much rhe same for all the Swiss watch brands. The quality has drastically dropped over the last 25 years. There are many far better brands on the market than Omega, Tissot or Swatch watches. Today I phoned the Swatch Group in Sandton to see if I could buy a part for an Omega Co-axial watch. They flatly refused to sell any spares to me. Aparantly it is orders from Mr Kai Ebbinghaus, who is the manager and will not sell spares to watchmakers. This alone is reason enough for me to discourage anyone to purchase or own an Omega watch. This is compounded by the fact that the quality of Omega watches is poor compared to what it used to be 30 years ago. Avoid buying an Omega watch. There are many far better brands on the market than Omegs, Tissot or Swatch watches. From Godwin Symons. Master Watchmaker.

I am writing to formally address an issue concerning purchases I made at your Durban Gateway Store (Gateway Shopping Centre). Several years ago, I bought three Swatch watches, and I was advised by staff and Swatch policies at that time that I would be entitled to free lifetime battery replacements. Recently, I visited the same branch and was informed that the policy has changed and I would be charged for battery replacements. This change contradicts the original selling point of the watches and constitutes unfair treatment of a loyal customer. I request an urgent review of this matter and asked that you honor the initially communicated policy or provide a credible, written justification for any deviation. Policies should be app**** consistently and transparently, without disadvantaging customers who were misinformed at the point of sale.

Terrible customer service, I bought to watches on line 9 days ago, I got am email two days later stating that one was not available I need to swipe it for some thing else. and I rep**** have not heard back again, the available watch has also not been sent. so I have bought 2 watches and received nothing, when I call customer care I go to voice mail. on calling three times receptionist said some one should call me back by tomorrow. its just shocking. such terrible customer experience,

Swatch Watch, think again!! For anyone considering buying a Swatch think again. The watch itself for the price is good value for money, but now lets talk about the strap. All Swatch watch straps are of poor quality are configured in such a way that you can only buy them at a Swatch outlet. The straps are generally of poor quality and will last no longer than two years BUT SWATCH WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SUPPLY YOU A REPLACEMENT STRAP As a result you may as well throw the watch away at this point. I refer specifically to the Menlyn branch and don't try and phone them the telephone number on the website is outdated, and its your fault?? So you have to go there. They will not phone you and no matter how many times you phone a cell number I obtained you will be fobbed off So if you are considering buying a Swatch Watch this is a big negative. Would I buy a swatch watch again. Not on your Nellie

They still selling this watch online and in their stores but cannot arrange for the original leather strap to be ordered and replaced. What company don't have original parts available to order? I have sent them an email and still no response from Swatchonline. Extremely disappointed customer!!!

I purchased a swatch irony blue details in 2019 from their Sandton City store. My original leather strap needs replacement. I went to Eastgate in March 2023 for a replacement silicone strap. No stock in the entire South Africa and a promise to be called once stock is received. I had to keep calling and email to get information regarding the strap as the service was non existent. Swatch is such a fantastic brand, I love their watches but then the service is absolutely terrible. Eventually I was told the stock must come from Switzerland......it is now almost 7 months later and still no strap. Still no service or phone call. I am so disappointed and irritated. All I want to do is wear my watch! And know that if I need something to be replaced I will have access to it and not have to wait so long. I'm sure if I ordered it directly from Switzerland it would have been here already.

I placed an order on 23 June 2023. It was not confirmed that this item was not in stock and that it needed to be ordered from Switzerland. Nevertheless I'll wait. I had to email so many email addresses that have still not been answered to finally get to a Dikeledi who gave me this news that my watch needs to be ordered and it will take weeks to months. Now there are no further updates to know if my watch HAS infact been ordered as confirmed because with the service so far I don't know if I can trust this process. Where can I track my order? Horrible online service
