The treehouses are so cold and dusty that we couldn’t even sleep in them and had to sleep in our car. This despite them costing a whopping R2500 per night. And then when we informed the owner that we can’t stay there he refused to let us out of the 3 day booking (subject to a small rebate) so that we landed up having to pay R6000 for sleeping there one night …in our car!!!. Hopefully the owner enjoys spending our R6000 as we sure won’t be going there ever again and we would strongly warn the public against going to Sycamore Avenue Treehouse.

aaah mixed feelings on this one - The Tree houses themselves are stunning, the wood work on them amazing and really something to experience. Sadly they don't like you to take your own food there, so the costs includes dinner and breakfast - of their choosing. If you ok with mash, mince and peas for dinner - you will be happy. But at R980 per person - I expected a little more, you know something decent. When you book they send you this menu with tasty food on it, but they don't tell you it will be the Chef's choice and well mince, mash and peas wasn't on the menu they sent us. When the owner came to our table to find out how things were we mentioned to him that we were disappointed in the food provided. Well, he immediate got rude, defensive and just down out right rude. Sadly that is where it all went down hill because his staff seemed to have taken a feather from his cap and they were rude to us for the rest of our stay there. Also not to be nit picky, but the tree house itself wasn't the cleanest with the light fittings being thick with dust - could just be because it is a tree house - you decide. It is great to experience the tree house, they were beautiful to say the least, but my husband and I will not be returning.
