We were loyal and happy customers for our three pets until the recent change in ownership from Prof Hartman to the TAH chain. The vets were always compassionate, kind and helpful - as were the wonderful reception staff. After a most unfortunate incident with the Practice Manager, we moved to another vet. Last Wednesday, our 14-year-old cat had a stroke and we took our vet to TAH as an emergency because our new vet was in surgery and could not see her. By the time I arrived, my husband had been in the waiting room with our poor cat fitting in her box - for almost 40 minutes. He had been told that the wait time was 15 minutes. In the meantime, another patient arrived with their puppy and was seen because they had a scheduled appointment. The reception staff were completely disengaged from us - one was happily singing along to the Christmas songs that were being played as background music and this did not smack of much empathy to our situation. We were completely distraught. We eventually phoned Hakuna Matata vet who were able to accommodate us within 15 minutes, and our beloved Kit Kat was helped on her way across the Rainbow Bridge with the kindness, dignity and compassion that she deserved. We believe that she needlessly suffered during her time in the waiting room at TAH and that is just unacceptable. If they could not see us within a reasonable time frame, they should have advised us to go elsewhere. The question of how good a vet and the practice is comes down to how they react during moments of crisis and emergency - no matter how much you spend at a practice, no matter how good a customer you are buying expensive pet food and products from a vet, no matter how lovely the staff and vets are during scheduled appointments - it's the times of crisis that are the true measure.

Took my dog in for the suggested surgery and they sent him home without a cone. He opened his stitches so I took him back. They proceeded to blame me for not asking for a cone. So they send all other take home medication and food but not the cone?? After taking him to another vet due to an infection at the wound site, this vet requested my dogs file on the surgery. Table view animal hospital informed him they have no record of my dog... I contacted them to establish *** is going on and request his medical file. To this day Table View Animal Hospital has not sent it and when the vet tries to contact them, they are short off and provide very little information. All about money and doing things off the books.....

Just a money making racket. My dog has hurt his leg and went there to ask for a tablet to help with his pain for the evening only to be told he has to come in for a consultation which will only be doable the next day. We didnt expect it for free and was defintely willing to pay for medication just to make my dog more comfortable. So clearly they dont care about animals and more about money. Will definitely not recommend them to anyone. Its a sad state of affairs when money is clearly more important than the welfare of an animal especially being involved in the caring nd wellness of animal industry.

I arrived with my kitten today at 14H00. The receptionist has a disgusting attitude, as I sit waiting for my kitten to be seen to, I observe her interactions with other clients entering the hospital. I can’t help but suspect racism as her communication with the white guy after me was absolutely pleasant. She’s condescending and outright rude. This is my second and definitely my last time here.

I am completely disgusted with the way this vet treated my cat! I wasted so much money just for them to do nothing for my cat. They will feed you any story just so that they can suck all the money out of you. Talk about some unprofessional money-grabbing thieves! I had to take my baby to another vet who ensured me that whatever prognosis the Table view vet come up with was complete lies! I will definitely not recommend this vet to no one ever! I just do not see how these people and vets can work with animals when cleary money is more important to them.

We visited Table View Animal Hospital dog parlour today with Perdita, our aging miniature Yorkshire terrier. She has had two bladder operations for crystals which have weakened the wall, and at her age most unlikely to survive a third. The vet has always been competent and kind, has Perdita on a special diet and prays for her. Such compassionate care deserves the highest rating.

Since moving into the area 15 years ago, Table View Animal Hospital have been there with our pets during good and bad times. Although vets have come and gone, the service has always been competent and compassionate. The grooming parlour section has similarly been excellent. We commend them for their dedication, and the support that we have always felt

I am so disgusted in the way I was treated with my kitten and I. I went to a organisation to get my kitty spayed, as I don't have alot of money to spay but wanted to be responsible and they did an amazing job! 9 days later she developed this lump on her tummy. I freaked out contacted them and said is this normal. They calmly said it's fine but time to take stitches out because she healed faster and that's why she developed the lump. I did but wasn't sure if I did it properly. Please keep in mind 3 weeks before this my previous cat died Cuz of an abscess where she had to have surgery and died a day later. So I called another hospital that I know was open but they said they had a 6 hour waiting list. I decided to contact Table view animal hospital as they were the only other one open at this time. When I spoke to them, the receptionest freaked out saying I mustn't touch the stitches and COME IN IMMEDIATELY. Naturally after my other kitty died I was disrought, and I was not going to wait a second to let her suffer! I went straight to Table view animal hospital only because they were literally the only other place open and they stressed so much how I must not touch the stitches only a vet needs to look at them. Only to have the vet call us into her consult room and barely look at the stitches and lump. She's said it's normal! She literally never inspected the stitches! Instead just took her temperature and said she might as well do a check up while we here! I paid R750 for a vet to take my kitties temp which I could of done at home. Things never got better even though she said it's all good. So I went to another vet and they said all the stitches were still in there and they weren't dissolvable. They took out massive stiches that were still in and infected. This was after table view animal hospital said everything was fine. I am so angry that the vet at table view animal hospital was so blase about everything. When I called her and confronted Her, she called me a lyer and someone just trying to get a freebie! All I want was my kitten to be ok. Especially after I just lost my long life friend 3 weeks ago! I asked for a discount or refund as the vet LITERALLY DID NOTHING. I wish I recorded it. I was the last patient of the day and she couldn't care less. Even when I said to the secretary, could I get a discount as the vet literally never touched my cat. She said no. There was no sorry, no compassion, no nothing! Thing is when I confronted the vet, She denied EVERYTING! AND said I was lying! I cannot believe how the vet was raising her voice on the phone and accusing me of lying and making up stories to get a free consult. Excuse me, I love my animals to the world and back and why on earth would I lie! I would pay as much as necessary IF I GOT THE SERVICE THAT WAS NEEDED! Problem is the vet I took my kitten to after table view vet, confirmed thet there was a problem and the stiches were not dissolvable. I am beyond angry. We spoke to the "manager" the son of the parents who apparently own the "hospital". He said he would get back to us. I lost of count of the weeks and he has not contacted us. I am so angry. I plead with you not to go there! They don't care, all they want is money. I am very lucky hakunamata looked after my baby so well and DIDNT EVEN CHARGE ME , Cuz they understood what I went through. Table view animal hospital, I don't care what your hours are, I will never reccommend you! And I will take this to face book and as many media platforms as possible. Maybe if you dealt with me differently, things would of be different.
