I have been using TECH 5 through Hyperhood since 2021. I would not recommend anybody to use this fibre service. I am using 50mbps up and 50mbps down. If you check the website i should be paying R550 per month. i have been over R770 the whole of last year. They want to give the new clients cheap prices and treat old clients like ****. So basically they increase your monthly fee yearly and new clients pay different cheaper prices. You must think i am dumb . I want cancellation done immediately on my account . I am terribly upset with this price increase. You will lose all your clients.

Been a client of Tech5 for roughly 2.5 years. They claim to be the best priced ISP available, I am currently paying R860 pm for an average of 30mb down and 15mb up. This is due to a faulty Router I have been reporting since October 2025, it is now Dec 2025. I have provided, Ping tests, Signal strength tests, I have accommodated changing router settings inc changing PPPo3 to Dynamic, increasing the Htz settings, etc. They refuse to acknowledge what I am saying regarding the router being defective. The speed tests are conducted within 2 meters of the router, their solution is I must buy an extender. To extend what??? The bs subpar speeds I am getting?? Their staff do not seem to understand the technicality of the products they provide. Their simplest answer is that the client must sort it out. I have been waiting for a call from the Supervisors (one named Udane) since October. They also are unable to get a line released if you are moving into a new property that previously had a wifi connection in, meaning you will be stuck without internet until you take it upon yourself to speak to Vumatel or whoever and get the line released. Ie they wont lift a damn finger. Why I have stayed with them this long? Rather the devil you know than the devil you dont. Oh and the ONT they originally installed? Fell off the wall cause they use Pritt level super glue instead of the rated anchoring *****s. Nice. What a bunch of .......................

This company seems to have shut down for Christmas from the 13th December 2025. Phones not been answered and no response to emails. So there clients, who have no connection like us, must wait for them to finish their holidays!! Useless customer care. I called Screamer Telecoms and they had me connected in a day.

I was with tech5 for 4 years and have had endless problems with my internet always off and on sometimes it would work great most of the time they are offline, I decided to terminate with them and move over to mweb , tech5 all of a sudden says I need to give them 1 months notice and refuses to let go off my line to mweb they are hodling onto it i run an IT company from home and have not had wifi since they holding the line to give it over to mweb ridiculous service contact them on a daily bases support says its out of their hands its with accounts , accounts say its not an issue on their side its up ane down vey poor service

Their service is very draining and poor, it's my first time using this fiber and definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. I registered for the fiber last month so I had to pay before the 10th. I paid R500 plus installation fee which was R250 meaning I paid R750 at FNB, now my wifi is suspended due to non payment how because I do have a slip which is my proof.

I had a very pleasant ecxperience with Mpilo, one of teh tech assistants. We received our router and instructions. I was concerned becasue they were quite difficult to follow. BUT the whatsapp support group offered (even after hours), proved to be a winner. Mpilo has the patience of a Saint. I was guided step by step until Tech5 could see that the conncetion was made and secure. I can highly recommend Tech5 for their tech support. We are still new with the Fibre, but I am sure we will be happy chappies all the way.
