I am a self-diagnosed shoe addict. I have bought several pairs of Doc Marten and Jeffery Campbell boots and shoes from That Shoe Lady over the years. I have always received good service. I purchased a pair of Doc Marten canvas lace ups via their online store on 8th of September. They were on a sale - but no mention was made of the condition of the shoes. I received a call from Latoya at 16:45 today - apparently the one shoe was discoloured from being on display. She offered to send me a picture of the shoes before they were dispatched to me. The shoes are 2 very different colours. I said that I was not satisfied with the product and would like a refund. Latoya notified me VIA TEXT that there is no refund on sale items. She would have to issue me a credit note. I subsequently called her to discuss this - I am a loyal customer who has spent tens of thousands of rands at the store over there years. She was unapologetic and unhelpful. When I asked to speak to her manager, I was told she was on leave and only available next week. After I expressed my dissatisfaction with the service, Latoya put the phone down. Such disappointing service from a previously great store.
