Dear Beauty Box Management, I’m writing to express my disappointment with the opening of your store at Lowveld Mall, Hazyview. On November 13th, I was informed that the official launch with a sale would be on November 15th, and the first few customers would receive a goodie bag. My friend and I were the first two customers on the 15th. We shopped expecting a R350 discount on purchases over R1000, but at checkout, I was told it only app**** to cash payments (I used a TFG store card). This restriction wasn’t communicated upfront, and I wouldn’t have shopped if I knew. I was also told the goodie bag hadn’t arrived and was asked to leave my contact details, but I haven’t been contacted. Reviews from other customers in smaller cities like mine show inconsistencies in the bags received, with some (from larger cities) reporting better offerings. The lack of response to these concerns is disappointing and raises questions about fairness, especially for rural customers. My requests: 1. Clarify the discount terms. 2. Provide an update on the goodie bag. 3. Address this issue and ensure transparency. I supported The Beauty Box as a trusted TFG brand, but this experience has been unsatisfactory. I hope for a prompt and amicable resolution. Regards, Nozipho Shabangu 0722366628

BEAUTY BOX CLAREMONT Corner, 132 Imam Haron Rd, Claremont, Cape Town, 7708 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN I had an appointment for eyelash extensions at the above salon this morning. My first time. My lash technician left the salon I have been at for over 5 years and so I need to find a replacement salon. It will definitely not be this salon! I need to make it clear though that I am not complaining about the technician who did my lashes. She was lovely and gentle, and I had no issue with her. However, having had lash extensions for so many years I do know the procedure and I am aware of what a salon owner needs to provide if she is going to offer the service to the public. 1. The technician did not start off by washing and disinfecting her hands. Something that was just standard procedure in my previous salon but something your salon doesn’t promote. 2. The room into which I was taken is dark and claustrophobic. The door, which was closed, rattled the full hour I was there. 3. There was no one else working at the time of my appointment so when the doorbell rang the technician had to leave me in the middle of my appointment to open up and attend to whoever was there. 4. On her return, having handles keys to open the door, she did not wash her hands. 5. I was horrified to discover that white tape that can be used to secure a bandage or secure a cardboard box closed – like a sticky tape - was used under my eyes instead of under eye gel patches. The technician struggled to take the tape off at the end - my eyes reacted to the tape and by the time I got home they were red and itchy. How can you NOT use the proper product! At 73 that skin under my eyes is so thin and sensitive - what you are using as a cheap replacement for the gel patches should NOT BE ALLOWED. I am appalled! 6. Once the TAPE was app**** I then lay for a considerable amount of time with nothing happening, so I asked her what the problem was. She said she could not open her glue! My reply was then “when last was it used!” fearing that it was old. In over 5 years of having extensions, I have never heard of such a thing. Why was the room not prepared before my arrival, and everything checked so that I did not have to have this experience? Not the technician’s fault – the OWNERS fault as she clearly has not told her staff to do this. At the end of my appointment and once the tape was removed, still lying on my back, I had to turn my head to the left at a ridiculous angle in order for the standing fan to blow on my eyes. Other salons buy little handheld fans for this purpose. The owner of this salon clearly spends as little as possible on providing customers with the requirements of an eye lash extension And instead, is a cheap skate supplementing wherever she can – including not having someone in the front to open the door for clients. I am beyond appalled that this is allowed and that there are salons like the BEAUTY BOX out there doing this. I use this opportunity to warn others in the hope that they do not support the business until the acceptable procedures are implemented. SHOCKING! Diane Hurlin

I started my journey with Isabella 12 months ago, I was struggling with ***mentation making me uncomfortable, so with the skin routine journey it cleared in few months. I've gained the confidence liking the mirror more putting a smile on my unhappy face. The compliments I was getting from my family , my colleagues and friends that made me believe in myself and to love myself even more. Besides the beauty box, I have explored and tried other products and I love them all. I am a happy customer🥰❤️ Thank you to Lebogang the consultant from Isabella.🙏

Jessica owes my wife money, she sent out parcels to her client and just paid 2 or 3 and never paid the rest, she did not even respond to her last message. Would def not recommend doing business with her. she just never paid and never responded.

Please get your eyelash extensions somewhere else. The experience I had was traumatising to say the least. The lady, Natalie, got glue into my eye and then blamed me for it! I have gotten my eyelashes done countless times and I know not to open them during the procedure. There was another lady there who kept on coughing, none of them had masks on. I asked for hybrid lashes and got something else. Not even sure if it’s classic. I could smell the glue and it smelt heavy. I complained to the owner and she also just told me that her materials are expensive and that - she wasn’t there, mind you - I don’t have enough eyelashes. She was not there. I sent her a pic of what I expected and what I have gotten before and that didn’t help. My eyes have been red throughout the day and I am honestly beyond devastated at the service and the material used. Find someone else!
