Dear Beauty Box Management, I’m writing to express my disappointment with the opening of your store at Lowveld Mall, Hazyview. On November 13th, I was informed that the official launch with a sale would be on November 15th, and the first few customers would receive a goodie bag. My friend and I were the first two customers on the 15th. We shopped expecting a R350 discount on purchases over R1000, but at checkout, I was told it only app**** to cash payments (I used a TFG store card). This restriction wasn’t communicated upfront, and I wouldn’t have shopped if I knew. I was also told the goodie bag hadn’t arrived and was asked to leave my contact details, but I haven’t been contacted. Reviews from other customers in smaller cities like mine show inconsistencies in the bags received, with some (from larger cities) reporting better offerings. The lack of response to these concerns is disappointing and raises questions about fairness, especially for rural customers. My requests: 1. Clarify the discount terms. 2. Provide an update on the goodie bag. 3. Address this issue and ensure transparency. I supported The Beauty Box as a trusted TFG brand, but this experience has been unsatisfactory. On the 23th of April on my pre birthday I was doing a final shopping for my birthday dinner at Hazyview blue hazy mall, as a regular at Cb store I went there with my friend to get few items, little did we know that was the biggest mistake of our life. We walked in with our hands d full of other items we had bought from somewhere else and honestly I knew that Cb stores did not have a parcel counter and I was fine with it been shopping there for a while and different ones , we went in and as we got in we noticed a lady standing by the first table at the door. She was standing next to a table that had a sanitizer well because she did not acknowledge us and she immediately faced the opposite direction we did not think she was the shop staff,ok we sanitized oursleves but it was a difficult task seens our hands were caring staff and that resulted in everything falling apart, the sanitizer falling on the floor and other staff like tape that was on the table. As I was picking up the sanitizer I noticed the girl moved an inch away like she did not want to be part of this saga, her attitude was showing us she does not want to be bothered,for a second I thought she was a customer waiting for someone who was already paying at the till. But I observed onyl to find out that was not the case, I then politely asked the her if she is working at the store by that time she is still facing the opposite direction as she turned around I saw her face mask with Cb's logo there and there I was shocked and sick to my tummy. To be honestly I did not hear her say yes or no but in that instead I was puzzled and upset of her behavior. I then asked her why is she not assisting us since she can see we are struggling to sanitize ourselves she just looked at us like we are crazy under her mask with a stinky attitude and did not say anything. Her body posture, her attitude everything about her was just unacceptable. I wanted to let this go but I felt no this lady has not respect for her customers. I then asked to speak to a manager, one lady who was mopping the floor was hesitant as I believe she was trying to protect her she just pointed the same lady and said she is also one of the manager's. Oh OK how nice I was like no I want another manager because I did not believe her or I could not really believe that a whole store manager can behave like that. What will she be teaching the junior staff as this was a very bad example. The lady who was mopping then pointed us another lady at the till. I went to the lady her name was Valencia, told her what happened to my surprise she as well did not seem embarrassed or disappointed about the behavior of the other lady, from there I realized I am wasting my time. And by that time I am getting more and more angrier, she then said I apologize on her behalf. I said to her well that's bull because she is standing there probably laughing at us and yet you are here apologizing on her behalf it does not work like that. Honestly I don't even believe her apology was geniune, she then took us to this Adronica lady for her to apologize but girl was ready to argue with me. But could not deny anything i said. She also apologized with her same bad attitude, her body language was off and I told her straight it was nof sincere she just wanted to get rid of us as we were annoying her,honestly I became more angrier. Because this lady still does not see anything wrong despite her apology, her mind and attitude said something else. From there I decided I am no longer interested in shopping at that shop anymore as I could see I was not welcomed and my money was not valued. Let me tell you right now my day was RUINED at that store, I have concluded to avoid going to them ever again. This Adronica lady does not want to be there, she is forced to work that's the only explanation I have or either she must have hated her job so much to act like this. Sometimes I do sympathise with people and try to understand that maybe they had a long day but that Adronica was just standing there doing nothing whe other's were cleaning and actually doing what they were paid for. As I am writing this now I even feel maybe if the other staff members weren't busy we wouldn't had this experience. We are in a economic crisis where people are counting their blessings to at least have a job including me but I feel like this one particular lady thinks we are actually doing her a favor by shopping at Cb store she does not need us as her customers. Well she can be happy me and my friend will never ever set our foot in that shop again!!! Goodluck to them.
Today the 15/08/20 I was rudely shouted by one of the staff member at the shop while I was queuing to pay my items. Her issue was I was talking to the phone and had removed my mask. The reason I removed my mask was the person on the other end could not hear me and it was important that we hear each other as she was the one who had asked me to buy those items for her while she remained in the car with a minor. I am fully aware that it is a South African regulation that I have to always put on my mask at all time. My argument here was her whole approach she shouted me like I was her child and I did not appreciate it as I am an adult and should be addressed as one. I ended up storming out of the shop left my items felt embarrassed and humiliated by this woman. May I please request her management to teach her the right way to approach customers. I didn’t even get her name but the cashier was Faith Mashiloane. Since this was today’s incident she should know this woman as she was doing the packing. I normally shop at Checkers but this has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I urge you to please address this because i don’t believe she was acting professional. She just wanted to show off that she is the boss and she is in charge and when I remember correctly you are not allowed to speak to customers like that. My niece recently bought some clothing items online through Zando for her little one on the 23th of May already a month still those items have not been delivered. Problem there is not communication from them only yesterday I sent them an email and they told me they will respond with 2 days still waiting for their reply. They are completely incompetent and always full of excuses, went through their Facebook and Instagram page hundreds of people are complaining about the same thing. It is very defficult to get a response when you have an enquiry about your order. They even claim they still waiting for the amount confirmation but the money was deducted from our accounts so we are done with them we will NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN. By the time they decide to put their acts together and send those items they won’t even fit the baby defeats the whole purpose. Kind Regards, Nozipho/Adelaide
In my entire life and time since I started shopping at Mr. Price stores all over the country I have never ever experienced such BAD service, This is shocking in such a way that I will think twice before going back to that same store. Honestly not only did we feel disrespected but we were embarrassed in front of other customers and staff. Tracy form Mr. Price Hazyview she's plain rude not only to us customers but to her supervisor. She just doesn't care and she makes that clear. She just completely undermined her supervisor's authority in front of us after the supervisor tried to ask her to apologies to us because of her rude behavior. What happened is my sister and I went to the shop to pick up a few items for winter, then my sister wanted to fit a jersey that I made her buy, in total she had 2 items and I also had picked up a jersey that was on sale then I thought to myself let me also get it. Then we went to see if we can go to the fitting room as my sister wanted to fit and I also wanted to see how the jersey looked on me since I picked up the correct size. firstly we had to stand in queue for a while as the fitting room was full. when it was our turn we went in showed her the items in total there were 3 . She said okay you can go in and while we were about to walk away she rudely stopped us and asked are you both going to the fitting room I said yes but I just want a mirror just to see how the jersey looked on me. She said rudely NO we don't allow two people per fitting room, Okay we understood that part but I then said to her but I am not going to go with her inside the fitting room I can always use the passage mirror as I only have one item and it’s a cardigan jersey I just need to see myself in the mirror. She continue being her rude self and demanding me to turn back on the queue and shouted me in front of the other customers. Mind you this is the same girl who did not greet us, we had to take the item number ourselves form the board as she seemed confused but all of a sudden she is now awake and showing us who's boss. Then I decided to leave the jersey and my sister also decided not to go to the fitting room after all as she also felt disrespected. We then proceed to pay by the till point she continued to make remarks about us that's when we felt like now this lady is pushing us too far. We asked to speak to the store manager or a supervisor of which a guy by the name of Bhekifa came out and listen to the whole incident. He then went to this Tracy lady to understand what happen and maybe ask her to apologize as he could see we were very angry and we were about to walk out and leave the clothes. He asked us to follow him when we got to the lady we caught them off guard while she was explaining to her other colleague about the incident the other lady even commented by saying where are they ? meaning us we will show them who's boss imagine in front of other customers. They continue to embarrassing us making us look bad even though we had moved away from the situation. That's when Bhekifa said to her please apologize to the customers because you are disrespecting them and you are not being professional she refused point blank in front of us. She said Bhekifa can do whatever he wants she doesn't see anything wrong that she did . She went on and said she was doing her job and if Bhekifa wants to call the area managers she doesn't care in fact he can do whatever he likes. In that moment I then realize that if she can disrespect her superior like that then as a customer I am nothing to her. What is so sad is the fact that we were not even arguing with her, As soon as she told us that both of us we are not allowed to go in we understood and walked away from her but she continue to make us feel like we are stupid. Another thing is her whole approach in this situation was completely rude from the start. I just want to also take this opportunity to thank Bhekifa for his job well done it clearly shows that he has being well trained but unfortunately I cannot say the same for Tracy as she lacks customer service, she also needs to do something about her attitude as it not acceptable.
