I have been ordering from the biltong company from last year January and had a verbal agreement with the manager named Hennie that because i was selling from my home and had people selling from work I would have until the end of each month to return any biltong that had gone off. Business went well a few months until I started receiving biltong that started going off not even 2 weeks after I had it. My business went down as the people selling no longer had any faith me in. I use to but over R3000 rands worth if biltong in the beginning until the biltong started going off. I was told that i only had 2 weeks to return the biltong as it wasn't made with any preservative and that was the policy. In this year I continued ordering as I didn't want to believe I was hoodwinked. In June month I had ordered biltong over R1000 as my customers had dwindled due to the bad biltong. I got my order only to receive packers that were crumpled with old biltong. Droewors that hadn't even dried put properly and I returned the whole order. I then ordered and was supposed to get my order the 5th July whereby i contacted the driver I usually deal with and adked him to arrange the get the biltong from his home near Pelican Heights as it was near to my fiances mom and he would collect it there. We had some car trouble but notified Denver thst we would not be able to make it for the puck up for the 5th. I then arranged with my cousin as she worked in the arrest that next week to collect my order which she did on the 11th I picked it up from her on the 12th at her place of residence in Kuilsriver that night. I had the biltong for almost 2 weeks I sold a few packets here and there but the majority was for someone at my fiances work for an outing the weekend of the 21st I think it was whereby the lady said she was busy selling it when everyone started returning the biltong bought the day of the outing and complained it was mouldy. I had the agreement in place as I said from the first time i bought at the biltong company so I collected it the week of monthend and contacted the biltong company for a refund but could never get a hold if them. I then proceeded to rather contact Denver directly because he also knew about the agreement I had but he refused to assist me telling me to contact management which I did try to do. I could never get through when I did manage to get a call to them from where I worked but he responded for the first time in the 1st Aug and I have been struggling since then to get them to replace my stock or to refund me my money. This ****py treatment started after my order value dropped and it was only also due to the fact that they gave me either old orders given back by someone else or when they just literally gave me old biltong no one else wanted. When you buy from them there is no policy explained to you of 2 weeks to return as they are only open weekdays how do you get the stock back if you are working and they refuse to collect the old stock . I am not only disapponited in the biltong company for the way they have treated me but i am at a loss for words for the blatant disregard to my money spent on old products. I eventually got through to them today and was told there us no way they will reimburse me for stock or refund me as the 2 weeks have lapsed. How can I get money back if no one wants to assist me when I'm in my time frame and also how do i get blamed if there phones keep blocking the calls coming in by the recording telling me i have exceeded my attempts to connect to the extention I have been trying to get a hold of when I haven't even selected an extention to begin with but dialled there direct line. I just gave up after trying for 2 weeks but now I am fed up because the stick is lying here ....i can't sell it because it is mouldy and I cant get compensated because they refuse to refund me. How does 95 % of 1 batch of stock just become mouldy after 2 weeks well less than 2 weeks. I want my money back or my stock replaced. How can anyone try do business with these people. My cousin Keenan Petersen also buys from this company and he constantly had to return stock because of mould but he tries it again just for that few extra cents to be made from selling it. Its a disgrace to such a huge company to treat there customers with such disdain. I am furious and frustrated at the wall I am facing because they are refusing to refund me.
