My daughter was renting Unit 28 from the Campus student accommodation close to UJ. In the outgoing inspection checklist the perrson who did the inspection said the walls had marks and were dirty which was supposedly caused by my daughter. I challenged him and asked him to show me the dirt marks and he couldn't and he said he is just writing and I told him that would prejudice me of my deposit. I complained to the office and they referred me to the Property Manager who went with use and said the walls on one side don't look the same as the others and he could not even show me where there were marks on the walls and he said theu would deduct R400 from my deposit. I told them that was very unprofessional. The people from the office were very unhelpful and unfriendly it's as if they are programmed to find faults to justlify deducting money from the deposit. This is very shameful behavious from The Campus staff who take advantage of helpless students. I told them I will challenge those lies as they are not a law to themselves.
