I went for lunch at the Harbour Bridge Hotel yesterday ( 9 October ), when we got there we asked to sit outside, our waiter didn't even bother to wipe our table until we eventually asked. My friend had bought a wikideal and one of the options on the wikideal were Lamb chops. We ordered lamp chops and after 20min our waiter cam e back to us to tell us that they are out of chops. He said that the food would be ready in about 15min, so when he is about to bring the food, there isn't any.
We complained, he said he understands, we can either take something else and we said we want Lamb, that's why we bought the deal. He said that we can come back the next day- forgetting that we spent money to even get there. Which would now be a waste of time! We asked for the manager.
Tiegan cameto apologise to us and said that all of their lamb had been finished the previous night, their orders only come in on a Monday. She further went to advise of items they don't have. Because we then asked for Oxtail She said they don't have any meat or Bobotie.
She gave us 2 ****tails each to apologise. As, we got our food after an hour, a ered couple walked in and ordered Oxtail (Can I just mention that they were white?) and they got their Oxtail just like that!
Tiegan then said no it had just been finished cooked. So was there Oxtail and we are not the preferred race for meat? She then said again that it had just arrived but takes long to cook.
It looked like everyone knew that there was Oxtail and Lamb because afterwards we saw the lamb too but all the waiters said they can't answer.
What a waste of out time and money! I can't believe there are people who still do that?? How will you gain business with such awful treatment?
One of our dessert orders was Malva pudding but it was also not available
