I am currently staying at the Estuary Hotel and, unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had. This is already my second room. The first room we were checked into was absolutely horrid. It felt like being placed in an abandoned building rather than a hotel room. It was dirty, deplorable, and completely unacceptable, forcing us to request a room change. Even in the second room, the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property remain far below acceptable standards. The walls in the rooms and common areas are visibly dirty and poorly maintained. When you step out of your room, the corridors feel neglected and unkept, creating an extremely unpleasant atmosphere that does not feel safe, welcoming, or hotel-appropriate. The swimming pool is visibly green, raising serious concerns about hygiene and safety. This is not what one expects from a hotel advertising leisure facilities. The room itself lacks basic functionality. The bathtub does not have a stopper, making it unusable, and the air conditioning does not work properly, which makes the stay very uncomfortable, especially in warm weather. These are basic amenities that should be standard and checked before guests arrive. The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. There is very little consideration for vegetarian guests. Options were extremely limited, poorly planned, and not replenished adequately. Catering for dietary requirements should be a basic standard in the hospitality industry. Overall, the hotel feels poorly maintained, neglected, and not up to standard. For the price paid, the value is simply not there, and the experience does not match the expectations set by the hotel’s online presence. Honestly, my home feels like a 100-star experience compared to this stay. I would not recommend the Estuary Hotel unless serious and immediate improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience. The lady in accounts is also ****** and clearly portrayed it when she sarcastically came to the door and verbally humiliated me.

1. We had a party with my cousins at the hotel. I left my shoes at the restaurant under the table, 2 days later, I called the reception and they confirmed that my shoe is at the reception.. I requested them to keep it safe, bcz I was in gauteng that time. Now I'm at the hotel, my shoes are nowhere to be found, Seriously. 2. This week I booked at the hotel. On arrival while walking down to my room,it was dark dark, lights were off,big kats were jumping in the dark. The smell in the room was bad and even today its bad, smelling like no one stays, only open when the owner is back from overseas. Today, t I open the roon rushing to private room. Floor is damp,I nearly fell on the ground, linen is dirty, pillows got stains for previous night.. I called receptionist, the lady said ,they told by management to change the linen after 3 days, not daily. Shower and toilet seat is dirty. All I can say it's a mess. The cleaners need a proper traing or to hire a new people. 3. To all the chef. I give you high 5 ladies and gents. Well prepared food with a taste. Always willing to help.

I Booked in on 02nd July 2023 - 03rd July. I was given Room number 202 - In this room there is x2 Double beds. Both of these beds were broken. The bed that i slept in sunk in the middle. It was the most horrible stay in my entire travelling moments. The Toilet also had a bad sewer smell.

I called the hotel on the 11 Jan and made a booking for March. I was quoted a rate by Nosiphiwe. I was awaiting my confirmation letter so payment can be made. Today I was told that Nosiphiwe is a trainee and they cannot honor that rate. I'm in sales and if my trainee college quoted the incorrect rate as a company we have to honor that rate for our incompetence. This booking was for my wedding anniversary and I was so excited about staying at the estuary hotel unfortunately I'm totally disappointed today. @Christine, you should consider having a supervisor checking all rates before the trainee staff quote guests to ensure other traveller's are not misled and disappointed.
