On 15 July 2023, I bought a Lenovo Yoga X1i7 16-512-14 Flip laptop for 549 euros. The seller assured me that any problems would be dealt with under the one-year warranty. On the 13th of December last year, I contacted them about problems with my screen that had been persisting for a month and a half. Unfortunately, my first email went unanswered for two months, so I had to call them repeatedly for a month until a technician finally answered. The technician informed me that they needed to check with their supplier to determine how to proceed. Despite my attempts to contact the technician via messages, I did not receive a response. After that, the calls resumed and the situation remained the same. However, the company responded by blaming me for the problem. They refused to take any responsibility. As a final year student, I spend a lot of time on my computer and rely heavily on it. Even though it was under warranty, I decided to try to get it repaired. I received a bill for €230 to fix the screen, and the technician told me that this was a common problem and not my fault. Unfortunately, my parents had to pay the bill as I cannot afford it.
I would kindly ask you to find a solution to either refund the amount or provide cover. The unit is still under warranty.
