On 15 July 2023, I bought a Lenovo Yoga X1i7 16-512-14 Flip laptop for 549 euros. The seller assured me that any problems would be dealt with under the one-year warranty. On the 13th of December last year, I contacted them about problems with my screen that had been persisting for a month and a half. Unfortunately, my first email went unanswered for two months, so I had to call them repeatedly for a month until a technician finally answered. The technician informed me that they needed to check with their supplier to determine how to proceed. Despite my attempts to contact the technician via messages, I did not receive a response. After that, the calls resumed and the situation remained the same. However, the company responded by blaming me for the problem. They refused to take any responsibility. As a final year student, I spend a lot of time on my computer and rely heavily on it. Even though it was under warranty, I decided to try to get it repaired. I received a bill for €230 to fix the screen, and the technician told me that this was a common problem and not my fault. Unfortunately, my parents had to pay the bill as I cannot afford it. I would kindly ask you to find a solution to either refund the amount or provide cover. The unit is still under warranty. Please find attached all relevant details including the store information, invoice and communication history. yours faithfully Ana maria Martinez

BEWARE!!! It doesn't matter how good the deal might be, if you purchase from these guys they are a bunch of fraudster ***s. ADAM and BRUCE will threaten you (as the the customer) that the owners SUCEED and PORTIA are very dangerous people, their MSP! Any review above one star (which is the lowest unfortunately) is a lie. No Facebook reviews on their page and no Google business profile AT ALL should tell you something about these guys FRAUDSTERS AND SCANMERS. As a warning to everyone reading this, you better off using a hammer and chisel on a rock like a caveman than ever purchasing a laptop or anything from these guys. If ANYONE needs assistance with sueing them or need clarity on this so called "business" don't hesitate to contact me at all. LAPTOP4U 19 Edison way, Shop 105 Block C, Millennium Business Park , Century City 7441, Cape Town, contact number 021 023 4601 STAY AWAY AND THIS PLACE NEEDS TO GET SHUT DOWN SOONER THAN LATER!!

Not receiving amended invoice despite repeated request since December, Cannot insure product. Ordered a Lenovo laptop 19/11/20. Order delivered Postnet 27/11. Wrong laptop was an Acer. Assumed they were applying their policy to replace if ordered product not available, set up and started working. Told I could pay extra R1000 and keep the Acer, which I did. Told 1 Dec would be provided a new invoice. Still not received.

Stay away from this place. They sold me a laptop in August, which was faulty, replaced it after weeks of complaints to them in October. Now I needed keys for the Microsoft Windows and Office that were already installed. They totally ignore emails and whatsapp messages. They do not take calls.

Warning!!!! Please please do not do business, with these companies: thelaptopshop.co.za and laptop4u.co.za, they are the same company, they will promise you, but they don't deliver. You will be very disappointed if you buy any thing from them. Let me tell how they operate, the sell via Facebook and gumtree, but they do not use their own names, why???. Check the serial number of your laptop, they sell, I wanted to buy a Dell 5470/5480, but the serial number in the BIOS was different to the serial number underneath the laptop, Check???, I retuned a faulty charger which now they still have, but 2 weeks later still waiting on the replacement and the driver, to deliver. I went and bought one at replacement.co.za, type-C Charger for the Lenovo E490. I do not buy from them now and my mission is to make sure no one else does either. I would now rather buy the best service, than pay a lower price for the product, this was the case for me.. I paid more for the running around, calls my time, petrol trying to get the promised charger, which i did not, than paying for laptop for my client. Never will I deal with these people again, Thank you.
