I lived at this property for two years, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Throughout my time there, I dealt with ongoing maintenance issues and ****roach infestations that were never properly resolved. Requests were either ignored, delayed, or handled in a way that didn’t actually fix the problem. No tenant should have to live in those conditions, especially while consistently paying rent on time. Speaking of rent — I paid my full rent on time every single month for two years. I upheld my end of the lease without fail. However, when it came time to return my security deposit, they deducted a portion of it without providing any clear explanation or itemized breakdown showing how they calculated the amount. Now, after multiple calls and texts asking for clarification about my own money, they are simply ignoring me. The lack of professionalism and accountability is frustrating and unacceptable. If you’re considering renting here, be cautious. My experience was poor communication, unresolved issues, and difficulty getting straightforward answers when it mattered most

I stayed at The Leo Apartments for three years and during that time, I dealt with constant unprofessional behaviour and poor communication from the staff. Many of them acted entitled and dismissive, making it very difficult to live there peacefully. There were repeated incidents where I paid rent using the correct reference, yet I was still locked out of my apartment without any notice. This happened several times and showed a clear lack of organisation. In late 2023, management replaced my toilet door with a damaged one. Since that replacement, the building has gone through at least four different building managers. None of them seemed to have proper handovers, so each one simply took over without knowing the history of ongoing issues. When I moved out, I was told I would be charged for the damaged door even though the problem was caused by the previous management. They also deducted money from my deposit for cleaning the walls, despite the fact that I left them clean after taking down my artwork. They are now ignoring my emails, my phone calls etc., The building is poorly managed, with staff who often seem unqualified for their positions. The property also has a roach infestation that was never handled properly. I would strongly advise against moving into The Leo Apartments. The experience was stressful, frustrating, and not worth the trouble.

The worst place I have ever resided in. The apartments are flooded with roaches which is no surprise once you discover that tenants leave their trash in the lifts, corridors and stairwells! In addition to the reek that travels through the air vents, is the stench from a nearby landfill that is inescapable every time the wind blows west! The apartment was so filthy on the day that I moved in that my royal blue couch was covered in a layer of dust, don't get me started on the shower! However I was charged a R1000 cleaning fee when I moved out, even though Ieft that dump cleaner than I found it. In addition to the the R1000 cleaning fee that is not mentioned anywhere on the lease, is the inflated water and heat pump charges, apparently I used up more than double the amount of water in my final month residing than I did on every other month! Resulting in me only receiving R600 from my R3000 deposit! How vile!

Absolutely unprofessional service, I moved out at the end of March after staying at the Leo for 3 years. My Apartment flooded on 2 different occasions due to lack of maintenance on the drainage pipes . I had furniture damage but absolutely no accountability or communication from building management and yet when I move out they deduct R1000 for "repainting the walls". To date I have not received my deposit refund because they made an error on my statement and had to correct it,there was virtually no communication from their side during this time, absolutely pathetic service. Would not recommend

I am extremely disappointed with the poor service I received from Leo Apartment Lifestyle during my move-in. I contacted them the day before to confirm my move-in time, and they confirmed it without any issues. However, upon my arrival, I had to wait over 30 minutes before being told that my apartment was not ready — shockingly, the previous tenant was still occupying the room. I had arranged help and transport specifically for this day, only to be redirected to a temporary unit. This is completely unacceptable. Now, I will have to incur extra costs to move again to the actual apartment when it’s finally ready. To make matters worse, the unit was not clean and I was told to leave my belongings outside while they supposedly clean. Who is going to take responsibility for moving my things in once the cleaning is complete? This level of disorganisation and lack of respect for tenants’ time and money is completely unprofessional. I expected much better from a place that markets itself as a premium lifestyle apartment.

After a long stay at Leo Lifestyle Apartments, I had started to call it home. Big mistake. When the time came to part ways, I expected a smooth exit—given that I was the dream tenant (no complaints, no late payments, basically an angel with rent money). Instead, I was met with inconsideration, poor treatment, and—plot twist—privacy violations. Because apparently, at Leo Lifestyle, your personal space is just a suggestion. The office staff? ***********. But don’t worry, they’ll flash a smile while doing absolutely nothing about your concerns. Need a response? You might as well send a letter by carrier ***eon—quicker and more reliable. And just when you think you understand the lease, BAM! Out of nowhere, they hit you with rules and policies that were never mentioned when you moved in. Surprise! If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be ignored, overcharged, and blindsided by nonsense, Leo Lifestyle is perfect. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Trust me, your sanity will thank you.

I stayed at The Leo Lifestyle Apartments from 30 November 2023 to 30 November 2024, and my experience was far from pleasant. From the start, I encountered numerous issues that were poorly handled. Upon moving in, I requested a deep clean due to the dirty shower, which was never done. Throughout my stay, there were constant ****roach infestations, and on several occasions, the management fumigated my apartment without prior consent. One evening, I returned home to find the apartment filled with chemical fumes from fumigation, forcing me to seek alternative accommodation at my own expense. When my lease ended, I chose not to renew, primarily due to the subpar living conditions and poor management. However, the final blow came when they withheld more than half of my deposit. They claimed it was necessary to paint a line caused by the headboard on the wall and to clean the apartment, despite me leaving the place in a far cleaner state than when I moved in. Additionally, they double-billed me for utilities. It took over a month and constant follow-ups before they refunded the remaining portion of my deposit. I would not recommend The Leo Lifestyle Apartments to anyone. Consider this a warning – proceed with caution.

I am unhappy with how the move in and move outs inspections are handled, they would literally just want you to sign a satisfactory move in inspection even though there are things you are not happy about and need fixed. The shower walls were filthy and disgusting and we were promised a cleaner that never came. How are you saying the apartment is ready when you haven't done a thorough check first before the tenants come in? Then when we do the move out inspection the curtains are now inspected, the same curtains that we found in a bad state so much that even the guy who washed carpets in the building couldn't wash clean! Then when it's time to go after a 2 month period these mold stains on the curtains are your fault? I'm beyond displeased!
