On the 14th of october I and my family the Mkhize's had booked in at The Oceanic Hotel Durban I am extremely unhappy with the stay as I experienced the worse stay,there were people at the pool area whom were extremely intoxicated and hurt our kids,i actually needed to get medical assistance,there were no less than 17 people in one tiny room on our floor (third floor) with doors open music been to loud and alcohol bottles everywhere. We even left early as what was to be a quite enjoyable weekend turned into a nightmare, when we contacted reception they said the police were been called for these people and what shocked me most was they were apparently VIP s from the SAME company. I waited over two weeks for The Oceanic to give me a contact person to call and get no feed back. I wonder how such people were allowed to behave in the barbaric way they did. I hope this is taken further and more people are not found victim to a holiday turning into a disaster .

<p>I'm utter dissapointed by The Oceanic hotel and spa what was to be a memorable holiday turned into hell , not only was there no water, people at the pool area had extremely loud music till 2AM, random people were knocking our door the early hours of the morning not only did we not feel safe our entire stay was horrible we spoke to numerous management such as Cyprian and Lungi whom were extremely unhelpful and did not find any way to make things better, I would strongly advise any that goes on holiday to seek accommodation else where as this resort is a waste of money.</p>

I stayed at The Oceanic in North Beach Durban from 24 March 2016 until 29 March 2016 (5 nights) and was disgusted with the cockroaches in the resort. I spent many hours each evening trying to get rid of the cockroaches and did not get much sleep. On my last night, I requested a late check out and explained that this was account of my lack of sleep during the night and had to pay R200 for a 2 hour late check out.

I spent many hours each evening trying to get rid of the cockroaches and did not get much sleep. On my last night, I requested a late check out and explained that this was account of my lack of sleep during the night and had to pay R200 for a 2 hour late check out.
