To all future brides, this is a warning about the one bridal. They appear to either be scam artists or just incompetent as hell. My dress cost R28 000 and this is what I received:
Meeting 1: cancelled the morning of. Meeting 2: cancelled the morning of. They then insisted I pay the balance of my dress. I refused until I laid eyes on the dress. Meeting 3: I was made to wait outside for half an hour.
The big day: I received a note to say that they had car issues and were not going to make it with my dress. My bridesmaids handled it and so, she shipped my dress to me in an Uber. This is what I received:
A skew zip not sewn in properly and thus, would not zip up. A massive gaping hole in my overcoat skirt. Some random piece sewn on as if they were using my dress to teach themselves off of a YouTube video made by a toddler. Holes in the mesh underskirt which was the main feature of my reception. The mesh was so long I kept tripping. Eventually my wedding coordinator had to cut it off. No measurements appear to have been taken. My over skirt was dramatically too big for my waste (note-I went for a final fitting 4 days prior). Black and red marks were evident all over the dress. We had to try clean it off before the wedding. Last but not least, the ribbing was stabbing my arm pits the entire night.
I have requested a refund and am being completely ghosted. This battle is far from over.
Being a bride is stressful enough. The one wonderful thing about the this extremely stressful planning process is the dress. Keep it an amazing experience and do not even bother with this bridal company. It’s a sham.
