We were booked for 4 nights in The Point Hotel and Spa in Mosselbay. The first night we were bitten by bugs, at that time I thought it was mosquitos, the second night I realized that it was not mosquitos but bed bugs. I looked for other accommodation in Mosselbay for the remaining 2 nights, but could not find anything, we had to stay for a third night, it was the worst, me, my husband and my child (5 years old) was badly bitten by bed bugs, I refused to stay another night. We were badly bitten on our arms, legs and backs. We were itching the whole night. We had to inconveniently pack our bags, and drive through Mosselbay to look for a place to stay for 1 night. Luckily we were helped at the last minute and could find accommodation for 1 night. When we left and I looked under the beds if anything was left behind, I could not believe how dirty the room was, the floor was dirty and dusty and it seems that it was not cleaned for weeks. This is suppose to be a 4 star hotel, they do not even deserve 2 stars. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I did take this up with the reservation staff, I need to be refunded for the night I booked but did not stay over, due to the conditions at the hotel. My whole stay was a complete waste of money. I paid almost R 2500 per night. I was promised that the General Manager will come back to me. To date I have had no communication from the Hotel what so ever.
