Worst place i have ever did business with. 15 months thats how long you Kevin are sitting with our deposit that was paid incorrectly to tshwane. You ignore. Emails, calls messages etc. You just dont ever answer. STAY AWAY!!!

Pathetic to say the least. You have had so many chances to do the right thing. You are always i meeting never available to take calls. You never respond to emails or whatsapp. If you do its a lame excuse. I paid YOU a deposit in December 2020. Still today you can not provide me with the proof that you paid it over to the municipality. Worst of all. Our transfer attorneys referred us to The rates wizzard which is your dads business and he reffered us to you. Kevin this is not a way to do business. Your service that you provide is the worst. Sorry for the next person that will be trapped dealing with you. Hope they see these reviews before they do. 1 year. .. you still have my money that was suppose to be paid to tshwane. Because you cant prove otherwise.

Prolonged delays in the process. Had to follow up with jhb municipality myself due to no response from Kevin. Took money for electricity deposit but did not return it when we realised we were on ESKOM instead of the municipality. Kevin is not answering calls or whatsapps.

As an agent for Pam Golding (and previously Sotheby's) we have recommended Kevin The Rates Guy to numerous clients. NO MORE! He takes the client's money, says he has paid the council and then completely disappears.The council have no records of payments made or any records of his transactions. It is very frustrating, disappointing and embarrassing. His service used to be top-notch so I don't know what has happened to him. Please do not use him - I have three clients who have laid criminal charges of theft against him. There are other very efficient, useful & legitimate companies out there who can do the job better and with more honesty.

There is a one star only because this form would not let me write this review without choosing a star. Kevin at The Rates Guy has had my money since March 2019. He has never provided proof of submission to the City of Jo'burg for my rates refund despite my numerous requests to do so. He has consistently messed me around with every possible excuse from : Council being offline, to load-shedding, to Council running month-end and nobody would be available for 2 weeks as a result, to the most recent excuse - COVID (how convenient - a new excuse for the repertoire), interspersed with periods of just not even replying to my emails. I was even told in October 2020 that they had paid me!!! But they could not provide any documentation to back this up. Another blatant lie. I was then asked earlier this year - after my review on Hello Peter - to resubmit all my documentation!! Gobsmacked. I have asked numerous times for a refund - this request is never acknowledged. I am over this run around. I will be taking this further - I told Kevin this last week, I yet again gave him a chance to provide proof of submission and he passed my request onto his sidekick Saki - for the 2nd time. Saki has never bothered to write to me AT ALL. Before I started this review I emailed Kevin again to say that what they are doing is nothing short of theft and that I would be telling everyone this. As a result another mail has just arrived from Kevin saying he has passed this on to Saki - and guess what Saki apparently only works Tuesdays and Thursdays. Just more delaying tactics. If I get proof of submission tomorrow, 5 October 2021, I will update this review.

He emailed and got all my information and of course R4000 and from the moment the money was paid all went dead. He doesn’t reply to emails, he doesn’t return calls, you get no feedback. It’s like it’s a ghost company. Please don’t use them. Their inefficiency and lack of interest is appalling.
