Called TRRC and asked about a battery for my apple watch. they said they need 2 weeks because it has to go to Cape Town. I said fine. Early January I booked my watch in at Cellucity Bedfordview and paid a deposit. 2 weeks later, nothing. 4 weeks later, nothing. I went in and asked what was going on? She said they were waiting for stock. I asked why no one had called. She apologised and said she would call me in a day or two. No call. 6 weeks later I went in again, more apologies, and she would call me, she didn't. My watch came back 2 months later with NO new battery, as they said they had no stock. I took my watch. 9 days later and I still haven't received my deposit back. Shocking service! Don't use this company.

• On 14 January 2026, my iPhone 13 Pro Max was collected by The Courier Guy on behalf of The Real Repair Company. • The device was sealed in an envelope and in perfect working condition, with the only fault being the back camera not functioning. • A few days later, I received communication from Discovery indicating that the back camera could not be repaired and that a payout would be made for the old device. • I then contacted The Real Repair Company to arrange collection of my phone. I was informed by their manager that the issue was allegedly a Face ID sensor, which they claimed could not be repaired due to unavailable parts. • I collected the phone on 20 January 2026, packaged in a cellphone box. • Upon opening the box at home, I discovered that the phone was returned in two separate pieces, not assembled, and the screen protector was severely damaged. This condition was not how the phone was handed over to them. Please see photo's included. I immediately contacted The Real Repair Company. They acknowledged and apologized for returning the phone in pieces and confirmed that it should not have been returned in this state. After initially requesting that I bring the phone to Sandton, they apologized again and arranged a courier to collect the device. This morning, I was contacted with a new and contradictory explanation, alleging that the phone has a swollen battery and that I must come in to transfer data as the battery allegedly no longer works. This explanation was never raised previously and contradicts earlier versions provided to me. The phone was in perfect working condition besides the fact that the back camera did not work. The lady does not have any explanation for this. Please be careful. Make sure you take photo's and videos of the phone before when sending the phone to them. They are even approved by Discovery Insure, but I have laid the complaints with Discovery and awaits feedback.

If i could give it no stars i would. I sent my ipad for the battery to be replaced on the 28 Nov 2025 at cellucity in bedfordview. Was told it will take 2 weeks as they need to send it down to Cape Town to headoffice. Initially i was told it will be R849 for a new battery, however i got a quote from Yumnah Adams on the 4 Dec 2025 for R3089, as other parts needed to be replaced. However i know i look after my items very well. So i reject the other items to be replace and just ask for the battery to replaced. Was never emailed to say they not going to do no work on my ipad and they will just send it back. Call cellucity mid december to only find out they not replacing the battery and will send the ipad back up. So not only was nothing done, i had to wait till the 13 Jan 2026 to say i can come and collect my ipad from cellucity bedfordview. My R250 i initially paid is now also taken as it is a quote rejection fee and on top of it my ipad is also scratched on the bottom right. So bottom line is don't use this company as they will try and rip u off and not only are they spiteful as u don't agree to accept there quote for all the work to be done, they will delay sending my ipad back up to me as i only only got a call on the 13 Jan 2026 to come and collect my ipad. Don't ever use these guys as they are useless.

My rating is actually 0. Please never ever use this repair company, for anything. Their repair work is absolutely terrible, they do not even know what they are talking about. Here’s my experience: I have 1 x IPad Pro 2nd Gen, and 1 x iPad Pro 3rd Gen. I took I both for battery replacements, they wouldn’t last an entire day. To which I thought I would just have both replaced. I took them in to the Melrose branch, to which they get sent off to Head office in Cape Town as it requires the logic board to be removed. Fine with that I get them sent off, a week later I get the pro-rata invoices which I give the go ahead with. A few days later I get a call from the tech working on the iPad that the 2nd Gen battery seems to still be in good working order, but the 3rd Gen they’re not happy with so will proceed with the repair. About a week later I get a call to say the work has been done and both iPads are getting sent back to Melrose. The 2nd Gen untouched and the 3rd Gen repaired. To my surprise, I switch the 3rd Gen on and the battery says 56%, dies immediately. Put it on charge and it’s okay but as soon as I remove the charger it dies. Aside from that the screen now looks “cloudy” almost as if it hasn’t been put back right or a non-original out on. I immediately take the iPad back to the Melrose branch for it to be sent back to Cape Town to be fixed again (not even had the iPad for an hour). When the iPad gets to cause town I get a call from the tech, the iPad frame is bent? Somewhere in the process of then sending it to Cape Town they’ve severely bent the frame. Aside from this, before I sent it back to the Melrose branch, FaceID working initialise. Knowing exactly what the issue was (broken flex or a different Face ID sensor put back into my iPad after the original repair) I get a call from the tech lead. He pierced to explain my iPad came into the Melrose branch with these faults and the iPad never switched on. So let’s put all the blame on the customer that he bought it in broken! Great customer service. Anyways, they then proceed to bend the iPad back to being straight, and do whatever they do to “fix” the iPad. The tech lead calls me again to let me know the iPad is running fine now aside from them not being able to fix the FaceID. I cut my losses and just accept it back like that, under the impression everything else works. You guessed it. WRONG. The screen still looks “cloudy”, poor repair work on their behalf, FaceID stress not just “break” or become “faulty”, especially after a battery replacement where the logic board needs to come out. Either you guys need to get better technicians, that can repair these devices properly, or take responsibility, I will not be sending my iPad or any device ever to this company again. I hope this can help some people going forward, there are much better alternatives around. Next time don’t blame the customer when you know you are in the wrong. Both of my iPads didn’t have a single issue besides the battery not lasting an entire day, faceID worked flawlessly, the screen looked perfect and not cloudy at all. Terrible service and even worse customer support. 0/10

Terrible, TERRIBLE service! I have two contracts through Cellucity and BOTH phones are giving me problems , and the way this is being handled is nothing short of disgraceful. First, the iPhone 11 (insured): I sent it in for repairs and was charged R1000 for a screen replacement. That's it?! Meanwhile, the battery still needs servicing, but now I'm being told insurance won’t cover it. What exactly am I paying for if basic issues like this aren't covered? I haven’t even received a proper invoice showing what the insurance actually paid or how my excess was calculated. Where is the breakdown? Where is the transparency? Now, the iPhone 11 Pro (CPO, no insurance): I bought this phone in April 2025 with a 12-month warranty. I took it in during June because the battery completely died, and it wouldn’t charge or switch on. Suddenly I’m told the phone is “out of warranty” and I must pay R3000 for a screen repair – even though the screen was NEVER the issue! Last time I checked, I signed for a 12-month warranty, so how is this out of warranty already? Then Asheeqah Isaacs sends me an email saying there are “scratches on the screen,” calling it physical damage. I made it clear: this is a CPO device, light scratches are to be expected. That’s not physical damage. i asked for a reort from them to show that they acuallytested this device and no communication, till this day i am waiting. This is clearly a mechanical or manufacturing fault, NOT user damage. You’re just trying to get out of fixing the phone. To make things worse , no one has contacted me since. No calls. No emails. No updates. I have even left messages for Asheeqah with their receptionist. Every time I try to follow up, It goes through to reception but never to Asheeqah or the MANGER, It hangs up everytime. This is even the 2nd month. This is completely unacceptable. Why am I paying for contract phones that I cannot use?! This is now the second month, and I’m still sitting for answers and ZERO communication YET I AM PAYING FOR THEM. I'm absolutely disgusted. The Real Repair Company is useless, and Cellucity has done nothing to help. I demand accountability, communication, and action. Fix this or cancel the contracts, simple!

My iPhone 14 Pro Max suffered a nasty fall, shattered glass and a frustrating issue where it kept switching off every 3 minutes. I first took it to an official Apple repair centre, where I was quoted over R30,000 for the repair, with no guarantee of recovering my WhatsApp data or even backing it up. Desperate for another solution, I went to The Real Repair Company at Grove Mall, where I met Audrey. She didn’t overpromise, she simply said she’d take a look and see what could be done. Her honesty and calm confidence already gave me hope. To my absolute delight and surprise, Audrey worked her magic. Not only did she repair my phone to perfect working condition, but I was also able to update and back up my WhatsApp, something Apple Repair told me was impossible. Audrey is professional, highly skilled and goes above and beyond for her customers. She saved me thousands of rands and, more importantly, saved my data and peace of mind. Thank you, Audrey—you’re a legend! Highly recommend her and the team at The Real Repair Company!

It was a pleasure dealing with the Real Repair Company. Grant was professional and attentive and kept us apprised of progress the entire way. They collected and returned our MacBook Air, repaired and looking new, via courier. Very happy with their service.
