I am writing this review on behalf of Ms. Thandiwe Foyo, ID *** 088, a long-standing member of EasyPay Insurance, who insured her daughter, Bonisile Happyness Foyo, ID *** 087, who sadly passed away on 03 May 2026. It has now been over a week since the claim was submitted at your Springs EasyPay office, yet no payout has been made. As a result, the deceased is still lying in the mortuary, and the family is unable to proceed with burial arrangements due to EasyPay Insurance’s failure to honor its obligations.
During this period of deep grief, Ms. Foyo has been subjected to unsound excuses, poor communication, and unacceptable delays from your staff. Instead of receiving compassion and efficient service, she has been forced to endure additional emotional and psychological distress caused by your company’s incompetence. Furthermore, it has come to our attention that this is not an isolated incident. Many grant and pension beneficiaries who pay EasyPay Insurance premiums experience similar mistreatment when they lose their loved ones. They are made to suffer through unnecessary delays, excuses, and administrative failures at a time when they need support the most. This pattern of conduct is unjust, exploitative, and deeply disrespectful to our communities. We will not allow our people particularly the poor, the elderly, and the vulnerable to be treated as though their lives and dignity do not matter.
OUR DEMANDS We hereby demand the following: 1. Immediate payout of the full policy benefit owed to Ms. Thandiwe Foyo no later than Tuesday, 11 May 2026, to allow her to lay her daughter to rest with dignity. 2. A formal written apology issued to Ms. Foyo for the distress, delays, and unprofessional conduct she has endured. 3. Provision of appropriate support and assistance to the family during this difficult time.
FAILURE TO COMPLY Should EasyPay Insurance fail to meet the above demands within the stipulated timeframe, we will have no choice but to: • Escalate the matter further, • Engage Provincial and National Leadership, and • Publicly expose EasyPay Insurance through media platforms for the ongoing mistreatment and exploitation of grieving families. We trust that your office will act swiftly and responsibly to prevent further harm and unnecessary escalation.
