Had my first visit at Thinc Clinic Rosebank a day ago which I was really looking forward too but didn’t have a pleasant experience as I anticipated ..Made an appointment to get my toothache and previous fillings checked out which I noted down on the documents I was given to complete on arrival as well
Dr Kristina took me in for a consultant to discuss the reason for my visit of which I did reconfirm is due to a toothache and bad sensitivity. We thereafter went on to discuss my experience with wearing active aligners a few years back. Shortly thereafter i was taken into the treatment room to have an X-ray, photos and a “rotation scan”. I was taken back to the consultation to meet Dr Kristina who then immediately started discussing my the issue of my front teeth being out of the place/ arch and the gaps in between my back teeth…The whole time I was wondering when would my toothache be attended too…I eventually I had to ask, her first response was they do not do any treatments on the first time patients which blow me away completely and defeated the point of me going in to sort out my toothache…she then went on to say that I was booked in for a consultation only and not to have my toothache/fillings treated..There I was still in pain, agony and now highly frustrated. I did express my concern, disappointment and frustration, i was asked to give her 2 minutes to try and see what can be done about the situation…Roughly waited about 10 minutes and of which I was asked to go back to her treatment room. Dr Kristina had to go through my X-rays again and then finally she started attending to my toothache/ fillings which was causing the pain and sensitivity. I needed to have 3 teeth filled in of which only 2 was attended too and the 3rd one was left for “next time”.
Dr Kristina was kind enough to call me and check up on me few hours later that evening and the next day as well. I was asked how was everything after having the fillings done, I did say I am still experiencing some discomfort on the teeth which were attended too then explained I would still need my fillings adjusted to shape it to the actual size of my teeth, I mean really!! I spent a whole 2 hours 30 minutes there only to be told I would need to go back again to have the fillings adjusted not forgetting to have my 3rd tooth attended too…rather a disappointing hey! Priority was given to my secondary issue of my teeth being “out of arch” over my toothache. Not forgetting my huge billed thereafter and a co- payment which I was never informed about when making my appointment..
