The Virtual Agent selling my details

I received a Whatsapp message today from an estate agent wanting to know whether our house is available to let for commercial purposes. I asked her where she got my number from and she said from The Virtual Agent. I have never heard about The Virtual Agent before and they had no right to sell my details to anyone else, heaven knows where THEY got my details from! What happened to the POPIA act? It's a miserable failure, no question about that...
