My friend and I endured had the most horrific experience after booking this place for a night. Upon arrival on the evening of the 26th August 2023, we were met by a hostile Nicky van Heerden who was extremely rude , didn't even greet us. We were in the company of two friends, for a catch up . This woman told us her place wasn't for parties, I explained the reason why tour friends were on our company and that they were going to leave later. This exchange went on , she came across as arrogant and patronizing. We eventually got inside all of us, our friends left off after 2 hours . This is roughly around the time we were almost ready to tuck in. The bed cover was dirty , sheets soiled with stains and holes! At this point I gave Nicky a call to question this disgusting service, she came over...brushed aside our concerns and left! I called her again to ask for a refund, after a heated exchange, hurling of insults she threatened to call for security. My friend and I decided to leave that disgusting, dirty place. We had the remote control to operate the gate, she had deactivated it and we were stuck at the gate for about 20 minutes. The said security guards were called , they blocked our way out. We remained calm, till she came at some point to ask for her remote and eventually did open for us to leave. After years of extensive travel, I have never come across such humiliation.

Booking was made to stay here. One month before booking it was moved with permission of Nicky. Nicky communicated that she would rather refund the money. To date (almost a year later) we have not received the refund and Nicky refuses to cooperate.

One star is too much. This owner is so rude to everyone, blames everyone but herself, cancels bookings once they have been confirmed and then to top it all off - withholds deposits paid saying " you won't tell me what to do" when I asked my money to be paid back. Honestly - This owner should maybe get another hobby because hospitality is not her strongest quality. I really don't know why owners put their income on the line like this. Thankfully there are a lot of other accommodation in the area.... and prettier. I have also communicated to the wedding vendors, wedding venues and other venues in the area that this place should not be on their recommended list.
