Huletts' Sugar Rocks

This morning (10 July 2025) I bought a 2.5kg pack of Huletts white sugar, (Barcode 6001042000304) at Spar in Cullinan. What I expected to find was loose sugar granules. Big mistake! Instead, I found lumps of sugar, hard as rocks, and almost impossible to break up without using a hammer and anvil. And this by a company that advertises on the package: “HULETTS IS PROUD TO BE PART OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN FAMILY AND WE’VE BEEN MAKING EVERY DAY SWEETER FOR OVER 128 YEARS.” Yeah, sure. Right. You’re proud? Pffft! Maybe it is time you learn how to package your product properly? Needless to say, I am thoroughly disgusted, and shall certainly NOT waste my money on your substandard product ever again.
