Unprofessional- no quote, only invoice after signing.

I bought a unit at a new development which appointed Tonkin as attorney, and on the OTP covers transfer fees with a few exclusions. This was signed in 2021 and lawyers contacted me in May of 2021, no quote was produced. I bought 2 other properties where I used them in past, where I got quotes upfront and paid the monies accordingly. For this development now on 7 Feb 2023, when i went in to sign the documents with a conveyance attorney Damion then they had me a statement (never emailed, until today 15 Mar 2023) that I had to pay them an amount. I queried at site then with the developer then a different attorney Candice came into email tread, and insisted that the fees are related to clauses but the one which I asked for line items they said it was generic. Unprofessional and I informed them that I won't use them for any future property developments and would complain. I cc'ed David (partner) and sandy (secretary) from my last property purchase which went smooth. Do not trust Tonkin.
