This trip was poorly organized from start to finish. After spending over 13 hours on a bus, we were expected to participate in activities immediately, without being given time to wash or refresh, despite what was communicated in the original itinerary. There was a lack of transparency around accommodation. We were told that the agents were “sorting out” the accommodation, yet without any prior communication, we were taken to a different hotel from the one advertised. Our passports were collected and we were signed in without a clear explanation. The itinerary changed frequently, and many activities were significantly delayed. As a result, activities that should have taken 20 minutes to over two hours were rushed into 10-minute time slots, which took away from the experience. When we raised concerns about being placed in a different hotel from what was advertised, the response from the agents was dismissive, stating, “It’s festive season, what do you expect?” This response felt unprofessional and invalidating. Additionally, another traveler smoked on the bus, showing a lack of respect for other passengers and the vehicle. Despite this, the agents did not intervene or address the situation. Overall, this was the worst trip I have ever been on. The agents were unprofessional, unfriendly, and failed to provide the level of service and communication expected from a travel company. There are additional concerns I could raise, but this already reflects the overall standard of the trip

Firstly, as travellers, we expected airport transfers according to the itinerary and poster. Unfortunately, despite attempts to reach out via calls and messages, we didn’t receive any response. When we arrived at the airport, no transport was arranged, and we were asked to wait. We waited 4 hours before arranging our own transport and would appreciate a refund of R600 to cover these expenses. Secondly, upon arriving at Urban Guest House, the accommodation we shared, the manager confirmed that no deposit or payment had been received on our behalf. This meant we couldn’t check in right away and had to wait an extra two hours at reception, which caused quite a bit of inconvenience. Although our booking was confirmed, it appears no pre-payment was made, indicating some planning issues. Regarding the activities, we didn’t receive clear communication. We kept checking with the host for updates, but he mentioned he had no new information and was still waiting for payment from you. We were told all activities had been booked and were ready to go, yet the 4x4 dunes activity provider later confirmed that only an enquiry was made on the day we planned to participate. Additionally, all accommodations were paid upon check-in, as no prepayments had been arranged. We also noticed that we stayed at guesthouses instead of the hotel listed in the itinerary.

I firmly believe that this organization is running a *****ulent scheme. I chose the Lesotho day package where we were guaranteed we would be spending 7 hours at the AFRI-SKI resort. No part of the itinerary was stuck to from the pick-ups in the morning to the drop offs at night (well the next morning). We ended up spending about only 3 hours there and the rest of the time was spent on the road. - The package cost R1.9k which was inclusive of transport, pictures and the entrance fee at the resort. By "pictures" they mean your own pictures taken on your own device and upon checking on the afriski website there was no entrance fee shown... - Food and activities were self-funded which was fine except breakfast wasn't at afriski (we hadn't arrived) and we couldn't do all the activities we wanted to because we arrived close to closing time... They offer this package every weekend hence one would expect that they are fami**** with the common obstacles that arise during the trip however none of this was communicated. I would advise before dealing with them you do your due diligence and research but I most definitely do not recommend AT ALL.

We had an amazing experience with Travelarium during our trip to Mozambique. From the moment we booked, everything was handled with professionalism and care. Recently traveled with Travelarium to Mozambique and I had the most wonderful experience, lovely hosts and socialised with amazing people. I will definitely be booking another trip with them soon.

This is a travel agency worth trying, they are professional ,helpful ,they make you feel like you travelling with family .you can tell from the experience that they really take their clients seriously .......I am not even gonna mention the quality of the experience.
