Guarantee only lasts until payment is made

They undertook to come to my home to repair my sliding door at 14h00 on 26/5/2021, only to arrive at 15h35 after I had phoned Petesha to ask why they were late. He mumbled some excuse and said they would be there soon. That should have been a warning to me! After I paid them and they had left, I noticed they had left a ***** loose which I could turn with my fingers. I immediately phoned Petesha and he promised that they would return on 28/5/2021 at 09h00. By 09h35 they were still not here so I phoned Petesha AGAIN. He assured me they would be here soon, but they just never came. So their 6 month workmanship guarantee is really just a 6 MINUTE guarantee?

I wish I had held back my payment until I had used the door for a few days, but I naively trusted them with your "guarantee".
