I was booked fr a wedding on 21 June 2021. I was informed by Two Balloons & a Van on 14 June 2021 that the wedding was cancelled due to 10 guests having covid. I was then asked to postpone the wedding to 30 September 2021 which I did even though my contract stated that if a wedding is cancelled a week before the event they would need to pay me in full. I felt sorry for the Bride and honoured my booking for 30 September only to hear that the wedding did take place on 21 June 2021. Now the implications of this are huge. I kept 2 dates for one bride and lost income on 21 June as I had turned other clients away. I also got booked by a salon for 30 September for a job the payment was R7500 which I could obviously not accept due to the postponement of the wedding. I reached out to Two Balloons and was replied to rather rudely. I tried to communicate further via their Facebook page to find out why they had lied to me and was told to leave her alone and that I was unprofessional. The wedding industry along with the entertainment industry was hit the hardest by C19 and I find it difficult that vendors in the same industry can be part of lies and disrespectful. I tried to sort out the problem privately to no avail.
