I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ultimate Auto. I purchased a car from them that they claim was AA approved and in good condition, but the problems started the very next day after a got the vehicle. Since then, the car has cost me a lot of money in repairs, and I barely had the chance to use it.
I have sent numerous messages and even an official complaint email, but no one from management or the owner has bothered to respond. the lack of communication and accountability is unacceptable.
There cars are clearly not reliable, and I believe they are misleading customers by claiming that their vehicles are AA approved when many would not pass a proper inspection again.
I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE WHEN LOOKING FOR A TRUSTWORTH VEHICLE OR HONEST SERVICE.

This certification cannot be purchased — it is earned through strict vehicle, dealership, and service standards verified by the Automobile Association of South Africa.
Your vehicle was purchased on 30 April 2024, and the first complaint received was on 24 July 2024 regarding faulty control arm bushes after driving 1,319 km. As this is considered a normal wear-and-tear item, we nevertheless repaired the vehicle in good faith and always aimed to maintain a good customer relationship
Now, in October 2025 — 16 months later — you have reported an oil cooler issue. Unfortunately, mechanical failures that occur long after purchase fall outside of the dealer responsibility and warranty period

What I have to say
Wow, this is an absolute lie. I brought the car back the very next day after purchasing it because it already had problems the mountings were faulty, and the module had to be replaced. I was told it was “wear and tear,” which is impossible since I hadn’t even had the car for 24 hours. Because I didn’t take the motor plan, I was told nothing would be done.
Only after contacting the bank did you agree to assist. I’ve already paid my first installment, yet I still didn’t have a car because the workshop you sent it to was waiting for parts. When the same issue with the mountings came up again, we were told to sort it out with the place that did the repairs and that’s just one example from a long list of faults this car has had.
After this experience, “AA approved” means absolutely nothing to me. I now have to sell this car and put myself in financial debt because keeping it is taking food off my family’s table. I stand by my opinion: this dealership is not trustworthy, and I would never recommend you to anyone. I truly wonder if you would say this car is fine if you had to drive it yourself. Hopefully, you can still sleep well at night knowing the stress this has caused.
