It is with regret that I need to report the very poor service rendered by Zizipho at the Checker Uniq Fourways Mall retail shop. During or about Spetember 2025 I purchased a men's knitted collar shirt in the sum of about R 400. After the first hand wash a hole appeared at the base of the button part of the collar. Today 10th October 2025 I approached the Manager at the Fourways Mall Shop and her response to me was dismal. Instead of offering a recourse and a solution to resolve the problem Zizipho demanded the receipt and rep**** that she cannot assist me herein at all. Her disposition was rude and aggressive and quite nasty. Zizipho additionally pursued a denigratory argument towards me and point blank refused to offer a resolve which goes against all the principles of store management and good customer service. Zizipho's attitude towards me was noted as nasty, unfriendly and disrespectful and she is definitely not an asset to the Checkers Group let alone poor management material. I am contactable at my email address cited below. I await Checkers urgent response hereto. Kind regards, Mr Andre Cloete

Excellent quality clothes, but what's up with advertising Mothersday specials on your website, but it is only available at certain stores? On Friday I bought 2 Tee's for R299 (as advertised) at the shop in Canal Walk. Drove back to Herm**** and thought I need to buy 2 more. Available, on the table in Herm**** shop, 'but the special is only for bigger shops'

First off - Excellent store products and concept. Bought on Sunday, top was too small so went to exchange on Monday - person who handles exchanges was nowhere to be seen. Waited 15 minutes still missing. So i bought another top in the right size. Went today to Cresta to return the other top, no can't do it have to go to Rosebank where the original purchase was done. Such a waste of everyone's time. Not impressed with service, especially returns.

I was excited to go to the fourways newly opened branch today, the minute I stepped in I was told to leave my trolley at the door, trolley full of my shopping when I asked why I was told because therr was an incident where someone who had a trolley stole some items, So now every customer will be painted with the same brush because you had 1 incident? In the country we live in you expect customers to leave the trolleys at the door while shopping at iniq, what is something happens to my trolley? Who will take accountability for it To worsen things is that i am expected to trust that nothing will happen to my trolley when you do not trust me not to SHOPLIFT??? Trust is a 2 way stream, this just completely killed my love for the brand and I cannot believe you could implement such a stupid rule, You want me to shop at the risk of losing my my other things, and what is I had my kids in the trolley?

First and foremost, I am a regular customer at Uniq, love the quality love the clothing but I must say HORRIBLE SERVICE specifically at the bel air shopping center! The manager herself doesn't attend to any customers and yells at workers in-front of customers? VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, also inhumane as there is a manner speak when rectifying or reprimanding. I suspect a power dynamic at play as I have been noticing this each and every time I am at Uniq bel air. Workers standing around the door leaning on objects, making jokes to each other (3 woman all the time) just staring at customers as they walk in... each occasion I have went into the uniq store in Bel air I have witnessed this. Last week when I came rushing 15 minutes before 6pm I had noticed an unwelcoming energy and I heard whispers complaining that the store is about to close why am I arriving at this time??? THIS IS SO WEIRD? I asked for the manager to report this & her herself is a questionable character, I don't blame the workers as their "leader" doesn't seem to even care about the company name/reputation. Never going back to the bel air store UNFORTUNATELY and I will make sure to inform everyone how unpleasant of a store it is.

This is an email I wrote to the national operations manager of ShopRite which was completely ignore resulting in my wife having to quit because clearly they do not care about their employees Good day Leighe Ogle I hope this email finds you well. My name is Kagiso Mathibela and I am writing to you as the husband of Puseletso Martha Tshiloane, an employee at the Uniq clothing store in Sandton. I am deeply concerned about the treatment my wife has been receiving from the store manager, which i believe is both unfair and in violation of the labor laws. There are several incidents that have led me to reach out to you: Multiple warnings issued on the same day: Recently, Puseletso was issued several warning forms on the same day for issues that occurred in the past. These matters should have been addressed when they happened, rather than being accumulated and presented all at once Unjust Penalties for Minor Tardiness: One of the warnings was for arriving 7 minutes late to work, for which she was penalized an hour's pay. This seems excessive and unfair. Unfair Penalty for Family Obligations: On another occasion, Puseletso could not attend work due to a clinic appointment for our son, which she had communicated to her manager and requested to swap shifts, but instead she was penalized a day's pay and received a warning form weeks later. Health concern ignored: Recently, when Puseletso was unwell, I took her to my personal doctor, who has been our family doctor for years. While the store manager insists on contacting him through a landline, I communicate with him through his personal phone and cannot provide his private number. the manager's insistence on this point feels unreasonable. Based on these incidents, I strongly believe that the store manager is unfairly targeting Puseletso and looking for reasons to dismiss her. My wife is a respectful, hardworking person, and it pains me to see her come home unhappy everyday due to this mistreatment. Furthermore, she is often required to stay 30 to 45 minutes beyond her shift without pay, yet is penalized for being just 7 minutes late. This is not only unfair but deeply disheartening I am not asking for special treatment; I am asking that my wife be treated with fairness, respect and dignity-just as she treats others. If this situation continues, we have legal representation and will pursue that route if necessary. However, I hope that it does not come to that. I trust you will address this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. Please rectify these issues as soon as possible as no one should have to endure such unfair treatment in their workplace Thank you for your attention to this matter.
