Avoid UPS if you care about time, communication, and value for money.
I’ve had a shipment sitting with UPS for almost two weeks. During that time, there was little to no communication. I paid my customs fees promptly, expecting the process to move forward—but only after payment was I suddenly told the parcel now needs a port health inspection, which will take another 4–5 working days.
This makes no sense. If the package was already sitting in their warehouse for nearly two weeks, why was this not handled earlier? Why is there such a lack of urgency when customers are paying premium shipping and clearance fees?
What’s even more frustrating is that the total cost I’ve paid for shipping and customs is significantly higher than the value of the items themselves. At the very least, I expected efficiency and transparency—but neither was delivered.
Right now, I’m left waiting even longer with no guarantees, no urgency, and no proper communication.
If you’re considering using UPS, be aware that delays, unexpected processes, and poor communication can turn what should be a straightforward delivery into a long and frustrating experience.
