Undecomposed compost

In August 2022 I ordered compost from Viewpoint Farming. The next day as the gardener was loading it up, I could see steam coming from it. Dipped my hand in it and it was piping hot, meaning it was not properly decomposed. Also, it was full of bark chips and not the sweet smelling, black compost they used to supply some years back.

This year I ordered again and specially asked if it was decomposed properly. Yes was the answer. It arrived and again it's not decomposed properly and still smelling of urea. It has done very little for my plants and in fact has burnt a patch of Mondo grass.

I'm so mad at how companies get away with supplying ******* that costs a bomb but is sub standard. Seems like the whole industry is latching onto horrible, acidic bark chips as their compost medium of choice. Never again will I buy from them.
