In August 2022 I ordered compost from Viewpoint Farming. The next day as the gardener was loading it up, I could see steam coming from it. Dipped my hand in it and it was piping hot, meaning it was not properly decomposed. Also, it was full of bark chips and not the sweet smelling, black compost they used to supply some years back. This year I ordered again and specially asked if it was decomposed properly. Yes was the answer. It arrived and again it's not decomposed properly and still smelling of urea. It has done very little for my plants and in fact has burnt a patch of Mondo grass. I'm so mad at how companies get away with supplying ******* that costs a bomb but is sub standard. Seems like the whole industry is latching onto horrible, acidic bark chips as their compost medium of choice. Never again will I buy from them.
It's been very good to experience far better service generally from staff at Builders Warehouse in recent months, compared to years gone by, and I would like to mention the Strubens Valley and Gleneagles branches as being two good examples. However the worst branch is in Alberton, namely the Newmarket Mall branch. Totally indifferent staff who look the other way, huddle in groups always walking away from you as though they are busy. The typical, usual, mass merchandiser staff attitudes. The other problem which seems to be unique to the Alberton branch is the perpetual long queue to get to the tills no matter when you go there, with slow, unfriendly till staff. One Saturday recently, it was so bad I tried the contractors' exit. A rude young man at a closed till said "go THAT side", pointing to the normal tills area, "we're closed." In the meantime there was an open till on the other side of the aisle with someone being helped. I just left my purchases and walked out. I popped in again last week Saturday; same story, 25 people in the queue so I just walked out. I won't go there again. I think they have a management problem, there's never anyone in authority on the floor.
Absolutely shocking and unacceptable lack of service support for technical issues. There is no one to speak to and everyone works (not very hard) from home. Cheap skates 😡. Chatbot is supposedly open till 9pm. Well I've been waiting for 55 minutes like a fool with no response. I've had it with you Webafrica, your heyday is long gone and I'll be gone soon too.
S-L-O-W takeaway service is the motto here. NO supervision of orders, so the chips fryer and the burger maker are never in sync and the waiters who takes the order just disappear and don't follow up. No one co-ordinating anything. I placed my order and sat and watched this lot. 20 minutes later the burgers are put in a packet by someone then the wait for the chips. One packet arrives, order was for 3. The person packing the order asks for 2 more chips. By the time the chips were done, it was half an hour. I was handed the packet. I opened the first burger - ice cold. Supervisor comes, they will re-do it. All they did was place it in a warmer and bring it back. It's HOT she exclaims. Potato wedges were 'slap and pap', fried the day before.... The waiter brought me the bill and card machine. I had to operate it myself. I put his tip back in my wallet. A Take a Lot delivery man was next to me. He said Rocomamas is the worst franchise to order from. I complained about this branch a year ago, nothing's changed.
I'm using this platform as I know you monitor it. I have a huge problem with your courier service RAM and I'd like you to reconsider using them. I was expecting my upgrade phone yesterday as per RAM's website and sms notification. I received a message from Vodacom last night to say delivery was unsuccessful. The RAM driver was nowhere near our property but returned the phone saying I cancelled it. There was a missed call which I only saw much later in the day. It may have been the driver, I don't know. I called in and spoke to someone this morning early at Vodacom (a very nice lady on 0821945) who said she was sending an email to the "back room" to re-instate the order. What an arrogant thing for RAM's driver to do, now I need to wait until next week for delivery. I've written a review for RAM and sent them an email of complaint. This is ridiculous. With most other couriers the driver does the transaction; with RAM the driver sits in the truck disinterested, while an assistant must get out with the paperwork. It's really pathetic. This company generally employs arrogant, rude and incompetent drivers. Please Vodacom and others, stop using RAM. I was due to get my new phone delivered yesterday; the driver was definitely not on our property but returned my phone saying I cancelled the order - WHAT A CHEEK ! Now Vodacom has to re-instate the order and it may arrive on Monday....if I'm lucky. Really pathetic service.
My cellphone rings, someone asks to speak to my mother in whose name our DSTV account is registered. As I'm busy explaining she's not available he just drops the call.... PLEASE TEACH YOUR RUBBISH STAFF SOME MANNERS......you are going to continue losing customers:):):) Of course the number he dialed from "does not exist' when I tried calling it +27 11 051 0333
I was a regular customer with one previous complaint. Sunday 31st October I ordered 3 Hakes and chips to be delivered at 1PM. As usual I requested darker, crispy chips. They always oblige. This time, the order arrives at 12.30 instead of 1pm. My guest hadn't even arrived for lunch yet. Fish was OK, but the chips were PALE, some were even glassy and under cooked. Do you do this on purpose to irritate your customers or do you just not care? So, Sunday lunch turned out a disappointment. Why not call to ask if OK to deliver early? Sometimes when you order the fried Hake, it is not freshly fried, you can see it has been re-fried. as it is dark and chewy. I won't support this branch again, the last time they tried to make up for my complaint by cooking everything well plus a 20% discount but they are back to their old ways. Also when you do collect your order at the shop, the guy at the till is never very friendly.
Popped into the Little Falls Branch after work to quickly pick up 2 items. I couldn't find one of the items, walked up and down the aisle checking and looking and all the while 4-5 employees were standing against a wall chatting. Not one offer to assist. I then found the second item and get to the till. The cashier rings up my purchase, I present my card - it's declined; tried again, same thing. Used another card, tried twice, same thing. Oh, says the cashier, this machine does it all the time, she doesn't know what's wrong with it. She mentions it to a passing supervisor but he just keeps walking away. She disappears to find another card machine leaving me there. After 5-6 minutes I walked out without buying anything. Leroy Merlin.... you made a big impression when you opened with floor managers walking around smiling and assisting but you have degenerated into a pathetic, soulless store. You're not going to last long.
We had lunch yesterday at Mugg & Bean in The Garden Shop Nursery in Broadacres Mall, Fourways. Nice setting, and friendly staff on entering, but some of the food was a let down even considering the menu has been severely trimmed in recent times. A cheese burger ordered was absolutely lackluster. A dark brown bun with lettuce, tomato, a slice of completely tasteless cheese and a patty so hard and condensed that I struggled to cut the burger in two. It had an awful "processed" taste, definitely not made in-house. No sauce, just those dry ingredients on a bun. Come one people I can do far better at home! The pastrami bagel wasn't too bad with lovely crispy onion rings on the plate, but the bagel was rock hard and dark brown....maybe these rolls and bagels were being reheated in the oven over and over? Definitely not fresh. The fried Halloumi cheese was a generous portion and nice. We told the young, quite inexperienced waiter that most of the food wasn't too great and he returned to say the manager would come and see us. Well the manager sauntered past several times and didn't even look our way, he was more interested in helping the musician bring his equipment indoors. NEVER AGAIN will we eat here and judging by the reviews and lack of response on this site by the franchise, it is clear you don't care. You are going downhill fast
