If I could give it zero stars I recently stayed at Villa Via Hotel Midrand, and unfortunately my experience was extremely disappointing. The room I was given felt unclean, and the bedding appeared stained, which made me very uncomfortable. The kitchen area also did not seem well maintained during my visit, and some of the food I encountered had an unpleasant smell that made me question its freshness. I also found the staff interactions frustrating. The owners came across as unfriendly and unapproachable, and the bar service was similarly disappointing. The barman seemed disinterested and unprofessional, and I was concerned about being overcharged on more than one occasion. Overall, I did not feel that the hotel met basic standards for cleanliness or service. Based on my experience, I would not return and cannot recommend it. I later on visted the pool with my family and was approached by a lady asking if I would like some company for tonight at R### I was furious and later found that its more of a brothel then a family hotel ...

I have booked a hotel room at Villa via midrand online via booking.com. I had to pay for the booking upfront in order to secure my room. I had paid R1421.20 . The day of my booking i arrived at the hotel and it looked like a brothel the room had a funky smell it was not at all like the pictures we had seen when booking . I then went to reception to cancel my booking she said i need to cancel it with booking.com i emailed them for weeks amd eventually got a response that it is a non refundable room. I do understand that but the room was not what was advertised . Villa via midrand are rogues doing false advertising.

I have no idea why this establishment is getting such bad reviews. I had a wonderful stay there. Awesome staff. Room with aircon and enough coffee for the night. For the money you pay per night, you will not get a better place in Midrand to stay.

Poor customer service, not professional especially the manager very arrogant! They refuse to do refunds on canceled bookings. What you see on the pictures and what you get upon arrival is two different pictures, very disappointing!

After paying deposit, then not even day later we do a cancelation. Then a week after a week we call in to ask when we will get our refund. All we are told auditors are handling matters. Three weeks later we decide to go in person at the villa via. First manager refuse to speak to us, and when his reception finally gets him on the phone, all he could say is i dont know when auditors will give you the deposit of 18000, and he is not responsible, he does not handle matters after he left the lodge/hotel and he doesn't care whether we escalate the matter or not.
