EMPTY PROMISE..

I went to Vision Works at Raslouw in Centurion, last month, I went to ask for the trial lens as my lens got torn, it got torn that morning, I told the lady I will come after the 15th when I have money to do the eye test, the lady promised to order the trial lenses for me, when I called the following week the call went through to Vision Works in Jean Avenue, I told the lady there my story and she promised to check my order and call me back of which she never called, I then decided to go to Vision Works in Jean Avenue, the lady checked and said there was no order for me, she told me I will pay for the trials, I asked her why must I pay for it because they get those free from the suppliers and they are not allowed to sell, she told me at Vision Works they pay for the trial lenses, the next morning I called the branch where I went to get the trial lenses, the lady told me that she does not know as to when they will get my order, until today I have not received the call from her to tell that my trial lens is ready for collection, I then decided that I will not go to them for my eye test and therefore I will tell my family and friends as well to go to other Optometrists but not Vision Works. What forced the lady to make empty promises when she knew that she was not going to order my trial lens?
