I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the extremely poor service I have received from your branch over the past nine weeks. What should have been a simple and straightforward process of receiving my spectacles has turned into an exhausting, frustrating, and completely unacceptable experience. Despite having paid in full, I am still waiting for my glasses after almost nine weeks. The only “updates” I receive are excuses — including being told that the people responsible are “in Dubai” and therefore nothing can be done. At no point has anyone taken accountability, offered a proper explanation, or even apologised for the delay. In addition to the delay, the behaviour of your staff has been consistently unprofessional. The lady behind the counter has shown no interest in assisting clients. Her attitude makes it feel as though customers are an irritation rather than a priority. I have had to follow up repeatedly, and every time I am met with indifference and no real effort to resolve the issue. What shocked me most was the complete disregard for the clients in the store. On my last visit, Vodacom staff from next door walked in, and instead of assisting the customers who had been waiting, the ladies behind the counter immediately prioritised chatting with them. I stood there, along with a shop full of clients, listening for almost 15 minutes while Vision Works staff and Vodacom staff discussed how they were going to pay for their Uber rides home. This was done loudly, casually, and with zero concern for the customers waiting to be helped. This level of service is unacceptable for any business, especially one dealing with healthcare-related products. Clients should not be treated as an afterthought while staff engage in personal conversations and social visits. I expect the following immediately: - A clear and honest update on the status of my spectacles - A firm completion date - An apology for the delay and the unprofessional conduct - Accountability from the staff involved If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will have no choice but to escalate it further. I trust that you will treat this complaint with the seriousness it deserves.

Extremely disappointing and unprofessional service. I was given trial contact lenses by the optometrist (25 May), who clearly explained which lens was for my left and right eye, based on the differing prescriptions. After confirming that I was happy with the lenses, I asked him to order six boxes for each eye. When I went to collect the order (on 28 May), I noticed that the boxes were not labelled to indicate which was for the left eye and which was for the right — and more concerningly, both boxes had the exact same prescription. I raised this with the lady who was assisting me, who responded vaguely and said, “Sometimes that’s just how the optometrist works it out.” I took the boxes home but quickly realised that the prescriptions didn’t make sense (as the trial lenses had different prescriptions). I called the store to query this and was then told that the optometrist had ordered the correct lenses, but the supplier had delivered the wrong ones. I was assured that the correct lenses would arrive the next day (29 May). No one contacted me. On Tuesday, 3 June, I followed up in the morning and was told I would be called back. That call never came. I phoned again in the afternoon, and only then was I informed that the supplier had no stock. I was also told — for the first time — that the store could not proceed until I returned the incorrect boxes. This had never been communicated to me. Later that day, the optometrist himself called, saying he would collect the lenses directly from the supplier (despite the earlier claim that there was no stock) and would deliver them to my home that evening to spare me the drive to Fourways Mall. He did not deliver the lenses. He then assured me he would deliver them the following morning, 4 June, before the store opened. This also did not happen. As of today, I have still not received the correct lenses — despite having paid in full. The repeated failure to communicate clearly, the shifting explanations, and the lack of follow-through demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. I will not be using this store again and will strongly discourage others from doing so.

If I could give them a fat 0, I would. Worst service, worst staff. The attitude of people is unbelievable. There are many other places to get a pair of glasses. Go there! Avoid this shop at all cost.

I visited Visionworks the other day at Mall of Africa and was assisted by an employee who seemed too busy to help me properly. She was rushed, inattentive, and didn’t take the time to address my concerns. I left feeling like my visit was unimportant. I expect better customer service and attention, especially when making decisions about my vision care.she didn’t even tell me about current promotions

I visited Visionworks the other day at Mall of Africa and was assisted by an employee who seemed too busy to help me properly. I recently contacted Vision Works Ballito and was impressed by their exceptional customer service. They were very friendly and promptly assisted me when the lens of my glasses fell out. I visited the store the following day, and they provided assistance free of charge. I highly recommend them for anyone seeking a quick and efficient fix.

I have received glasses that are not working well for my eyes. After several visits, trying to address the issue with them I was told to come back and get the glasses and nothing was done to address the issue.

I have being waiting for my contract lens for over a month and the only time I got feedback which apparently is regarding back order was when I called and the receptionist lady was very very rude to me .
