I was referred to VW Pretoria by my cousin Mercy who guided me on what to look out for. We were both assisted by Mr Lebogang Moyane. The enquiring process was smooth, there were minor things that changed that he chose to not communicate with me however I chose to overlook them when I found out (monthly instalment be not above a certain amount, it went above & he did nit communicate that). I collected my car on the 13th of December 2025 (Saturday), we took pictures/videos it was just a perfect day. The beginning of my nightmare was when Lebo informed me on a friday afternoon that my licence disk cannot be printed out because I owe R1970, I told him that I will go sort it out on Monday morning since the Traffic Department was closed. I got to the Traffic Department and they explained to me that I just need to pay for a licence disk for my Mobile VIP trailer of which I did. The further told me that there is nothing that prevents them to pull a licence disk for my car and that they cannot print it but they should do so on their end. I immediately communicate that to Lebogang who seemed frustrated that they had to pull the licence disk on their end. He asked me to ask them to print it, I then asked if it is free and his response was no I should do it with my money, I was in shock and asked him to send me his won money and he will then ask for reimbur*****t and he said he will send me his own money. I asked him if my package of purchasing does not include Administration? He said they outsource assistance from the Traffic Department and the person assisting him was not responding to his messages. A week passed without any update regarding my license disk and my permit was close to expiring. 29 December 2025, I telephonically contacted the receptionist to escalate my matter with the manager and was put through to Ms. Stacey who on the same day sent Mr. Mandla with my permit extension and just like that my permit frustration was sorted out. She explained to me that the Traffic Department was closed for December & that she will follow up with Lebogang on what transpired. I poured my heart out when I was reporting Lebogang and sent screen shots of our conversations. I further requested for the 5star rating to be removed/taken away from Lebogang. 06 January 2026, I WhatsApp Ms Stacy that the previous night I encountered a problem with my car, the lights somehow switched themselves on (the car was not used completely on Monday) and I called Mandla to enquire, he was of great help by guiding that I must take my car to the nearest vw which in my case it is Bronkhorstspruit. I explained my matter upon arrival. It was indicated that my car has no wheel caps at all (I made a mistake when I reported to Stacy that it was lock nuts). I attached a picture of when I drove out with the car on the 13th of December as proof. May I have them sent with the licence disk and plates please? The guy says he fixed the lights matter by clearing the basic setting by the door. I told her that I asked for a print out of what he worked on but he said he cannot print it out. The wheel caps were delivered at my workplace by Mr Baloyi and he fitted my number plates too however they were not enough due to wheel cap and wheel lock nuts description error) the 16 wheel nuts were later delivered at my workplace. After I took my car to vw for the lights check, it unfortunately happened again at work and I was called by my colleague that my car lights were on (I never switched them on) I then called Stacy on the day but there was no pickup and there was no callback on the message I left for her at the Reception on the 13th of February 2026. I called the next day and Stacy told me that I need to bring my car to Pretoria for checkup or take it to the next vw (I am on eMalahleni) the gentleman in Bronkhorstspruit told me that I must take my car where I bought it because if they work too much on it then it’ll be at a cost. 28 February 2026, my car tracker sent me a message: “ Netstar URGENT. Battery disconnect on …….. at 2026-02-28 14:16. If there is an emergency, please contact Netstar @0800112222. To opt-out reply Stop.” This is a brand new car! When I was planning to collect my car, Lebo said they can collect me from eMalahleni to Pretoria, now I have a brand new car problem the same options are not made available. It has been frustration after frustration, this is my 3rd car purchase with vw and this 3rd purchase at that specific Pretoria branch is still a nightmare even after two months 13 December to date (28 February) Worst experience ever!

Im commited looking after my new VW vehicle, above and beyond. There are well-known benefits to a vehicle’s engine when doing additional oil changes, for example every half service interval. I asked VW Hatfield to quote me for a paid oil change at 7,500 km. They refused. I made it clear that I was willing to pay; they still refused. I then asked for an explanation and they never responded, despite follow-ups. I went to another VW dealership and had no issues – they sent me a quote within minutes and will be doing the oil change next week. What kind of backwards logic is this?

I recently bought a new VW from VW Hatfield in Pretoria and I was very impressed with the service that I received. The sales person who helped me was extremely helpful and I did not need to follow up once. Elizabeth was always keeping me informed of the progress, step by step, I have never experienced this level of service before. When my wife and I collected the vehicle we were amazed by the preparation and no time was wasted waiting for anything. My wife received a bouquet of roses and in the vehicle was a bottle of champaign wishing us a happy anniversary. This was the most seamless car purchase that I have experienced.

Thank you VW Hatfield Pretoria, and particularly Rico for the fantastic service. I was really worried when my car started making a noise it shouldn't, but Rico's calm, professional, and knowledgeable service really put me at ease

Well done on exceptional service. Normally I don't do reviews, but I am really impressed with the service received. When I had a breakdown, they were immediately available and guided me through the whole process. (Michael - Technician) Earlier this year they also assisted me through a warranty process without any issues or problems, with a coolant problem (Danie - Technician) Thank you to the VW Hatfield team on great experiences, even when the unexpected happens. Especially Danie and Michael in my case. They really do go the extra sMile, Keep up the good work and a BIG thanks!
