On THE 3 DEC, around 9:00 PM, COMING BACK FROM A YEAR END, I was unable to enter the complex due to a facial recognition failure. When I asked the security guard for assistance, he was hostile, refused to help despite my offering my access code, and threatened me, including saying he would hit me and that he knew where I live. I reported this serious safety concern to the body corporate, but received no response, which is extremely concerning. They are all rude from Avalon herself.. disgusting complex bombards you with lease renewal

I am extremely disappointed with the way my maintenance issue has been handled. I moved into the property three months ago, and now I’m being charged for repairing sliding door wheels that clearly did not get damaged during my stay. There’s no way those wheels could wear out in such a short time, and they aren’t visible during a standard inspection, so it’s unfair to assume they were in perfect condition when I moved in. If they were replaced before, then the quality of the work or materials used is questionable. It feels like the maintenance model used here expects tenants to cover pre-existing issues out of their own pockets, just to save on costs. Every month, there’s a new hidden expense or an unexpected charge I need to fix and budget for, as this involves external service providers coming and repair on my account. Overall, I’m not happy with my experience at this property and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a fair and transparent rental.

My family and I have been tenants here for about 3 years now and every single time (very few times) that we have had a maintenance issue Jaco has always come to our rescue and very swiftly at that. Truly so helpful and professional.

I would like to commend Jaco, the caretaker at Waterfall Crest in Midrand, for his outstanding service. He is truly passionate about his work and it shows in everything he does for the complex and tenants. Jaco is attentive, proactive and always goes the extra mile to ensure the complex is well maintained and that residents are happy. His professionalism and dedication make a real difference in the day-to-day running of the complex. We are blessed to have someone so reliable and committed to looking after our complex. I really appreciate his quick responses.

Only stayed for a year and and, when I moved out end of Jan 2025, I never got back my deposit. I emailed them about it, they only responded once and never got back to me. They are the worst and i wouldn't recommend this complex to anyone.
