This review is about an incident that took place the facility of Wesfleur Hospital Atlantis. My sister was admitted at Wesfleur Hospital on 26/10/2020 after suffering a CVA, she was then put into an a medical induced coma for 24hours.
However, she was not put in a bed with rails prevent falling and injury of which subsequently happened in the ER and she fractured her right arm which is the paralyzed side. With that said it will take about 6weeks for the fracture to heal before she can do Physiotherapy.
The patient is a high risk patient and was not fully supervised at the time she entered the facility. Furthermore, a meeting was called with the families of the patient by CEO and manager of ER on Friday, 09/10/2020 at Wesfleur hospital to discuss the matter. During the meeting it was discussed that the staff did not follow standard procedure i.e. by notify the family of the patient about the incident and no record of incident report of above incident for 26/10/2020, plus that the hospital will be more cautions in future.
The patient is the bread winner of the family and have a brother (me) on University she have to take care off, and due to the negligence of the hospital unable to fulfill her duty. JUSTICE!!!
