I am insured for my business laptop which is specified on my policy. I pay a premium for this. Unfortunately my locked MV was accessed via remote jam locking and my laptop ****** out by LOCKED boot. There is video footage of the incident however the only people allowed to view this footage according to the POPI Act are SAPS and detectives with a summons. My Insurer has denied my claim due to the fact they cant view the footage. Apparently POPI Act does not apply to Western National. No negligence on my part 30 days and the new excuse is that it was not in a locked garage. My apologies I will have to speak to the shopping center about this........seriously ? Why do we have insurance? My business is reliant on my laptop !!!!! I have had to purchase a new laptop our of my own pocket. I do hope they refund me for the missed sales that I was out of commission due to a crime !!! Shocking customer service.
