A recent visit to the Fiat parts department at William Simpson Cars in Tokai proved pleasant. The store keeps a fabulous setup with many vehicles on display. Such an arrangement creates a vibrant and professional atmosphere. The salesperson proved attentive and assisted as soon as available. Knowledgeable and friendly, the team member ensured the exact parts needed were available. The shop makes a lovely outing when collecting genuine Fiat parts. Although not a driver, the experience was great. Great stock, great people, and a convenient location in Tokai.

William Simpson Tokai, After finalizing the deal and paying for the vehicle—which included a warranty clearly stated on both invoices provided—we were given several excuses instead of the dealer honouring the agreement. The inclusion of the warranty was confirmed in person and witnessed. My daughter specifically asked about the warranty, and the representative (believed to be Chantal) confirmed the purchase included a 2-year warranty. The first invoice included an almost R5,000 delivery charge, which I immediately queried and requested to be removed. We then received the updated invoice, and both invoices stated that the vehicle included a warranty until 2027. Only after questioning this again was a third invoice sent, suddenly stating that the warranty was not included. When both original invoices were sent back to Chantal and the salesperson, the response was that we were allegedly sent a separate invoice for the warranty—which we never received—and that the warranty was not part of the deal. This is completely unacceptable. You cannot issue two invoices confirming the warranty, confirm it verbally, then withdraw it afterwards and add it to the price. This is misleading and reflects poor business practice. The matter is currently pending a resolution. This serves as a warning to potential buyers to verify their invoices and warranty details carefully when dealing with this dealership.

Bought a new JAC bakkie and after 1 year the car developed a hum. Took it to William Simpson where we bought it from and was told the front wheel developed a flat spot due to the ‘heavy’ canopy we put on - bearing in mind the bakkie is designed for 3/4 ton and this canopy is a standard aluminium fitted for a DC bakkie. Bottom line - William Simpson will only guarantee the tyres for 3 months - so if you thinking of buying a JAC build new decent tyres into the price as your tyres on the JAC will not last very long.
