William Simpson Tokai, After finalizing the deal and paying for the vehicle—which included a warranty clearly stated on both invoices provided—we were given several excuses instead of the dealer honouring the agreement. The inclusion of the warranty was confirmed in person and witnessed. My daughter specifically asked about the warranty, and the representative (believed to be Chantal) confirmed the purchase included a 2-year warranty. The first invoice included an almost R5,000 delivery charge, which I immediately queried and requested to be removed. We then received the updated invoice, and both invoices stated that the vehicle included a warranty until 2027. Only after questioning this again was a third invoice sent, suddenly stating that the warranty was not included. When both original invoices were sent back to Chantal and the salesperson, the response was that we were allegedly sent a separate invoice for the warranty—which we never received—and that the warranty was not part of the deal. This is completely unacceptable. You cannot issue two invoices confirming the warranty, confirm it verbally, then withdraw it afterwards and add it to the price. This is misleading and reflects poor business practice. The matter is currently pending a resolution. This serves as a warning to potential buyers to verify their invoices and warranty details carefully when dealing with this dealership.

Bought a new JAC bakkie and after 1 year the car developed a hum. Took it to William Simpson where we bought it from and was told the front wheel developed a flat spot due to the ‘heavy’ canopy we put on - bearing in mind the bakkie is designed for 3/4 ton and this canopy is a standard aluminium fitted for a DC bakkie. Bottom line - William Simpson will only guarantee the tyres for 3 months - so if you thinking of buying a JAC build new decent tyres into the price as your tyres on the JAC will not last very long.

We were looking to purchase a new SUV vehicle and had spent time looking at various alternatives and eventually decided on an Omoda as it was definitely the best value and had tremendous 'extras'. We went to a number of different outlets in the Cape Town area to look at the various options as we live in Bantry Bay. Totally coincidentally we were driving to a meeting and saw the Tokai Omoda outlet and decided to go in. We were looking at the vehicles when we were approached by Mika. He was really amazing and took us through the various pros and cons of each. He was not at all pushy and answered all our questions. What I really appreciated was that, unlike a number of other salesmen, when he did not know an answer to a question he did not try to make up some story, and immediately called the manager to answer the question. We decided to purchase through him and could not have been happier with Mika and the service we received. If you are looking at purchasing a vehicle I cannot recommend William Simpson Tokai more highly. They also have a number of different vehicle agencies.

I want to commend Mr. Charles Flatwell and the team at William Simpson Tokai for their outstanding service. Buying a second-hand car can be daunting, especially after a previous bad experience, but Mr. Flatwell’s professionalism, transparency, and integrity quickly eased my concerns. I found the car online and sent an inquiry, not expecting much. To my surprise, Mr. Flatwell called promptly, invited me for a test drive, and welcomed me with warmth and courtesy. He provided a thorough and honest breakdown of the car’s history, pricing rationale, and his personal insights, making me confident in my decision. The purchase process was seamless—efficient, clear, and respectful of my time. He even went the extra mile to ensure the car was serviced and ready well ahead of schedule. Even after the sale, Mr. Flatwell continued to offer assistance. I highly recommend William Simpson Tokai for an honest, efficient, and welcoming car-buying experience.

I ordered a window regulator for our Fiat Qubo....was told it would take 3 weeks as the part needs to come from Italy. It is now nearly 6 weeks later and no one can even tell if the part is on its way or not. Everytime I enquire I am told they are waiting in an ETA Seriously....how long am I expected to wait

WILLIAM SIMPSON IN TOKAI - 10 STARS!!! The whole team is just brilliant. Just bought a Jaecoo through them and what a wonderful experience. They made sure to get me the best price and finance possible. Had a horrible experience at Tablebay mall dealership (********* is not even the word to describe them). Decided to go all the way through to Tokai and see William Simpson and it was the best decision by far. Blake, Vanessa, Matt and the rest of his team are simply just brilliant and honest straight forward people. I want to sincerely thank the whole team. If you ever looking for a vehicle do yourself a favour and go give them a visit. Address: 125 Main Rd, Tokai, Cape Town, 7945 Phone: 021 001 4411

What an extremely positive experience engaging with the staff at the Tokai branch. Shafiek Coetzee and Ebrahim Adams illustrates in real practical terms exactly what excellent customer service means. They showed empathy, concern, care, professionalism and a keen interest in long-term relationships with their clients. With this positive attitude towards people they can only go from strength to strength. Thanks so much, guys. It was an honor and pleasure meeting you and I will certainly recommend you wherever I go.

I have always Maintained that taking your car to an agent pays off. That changed today. Whilst not directly a client I dropped my daughter off to collect her x trail 2018 post service. It has under 100 000km on it and always service a Nissan. 10k later eish. Just out of warentee in years now. 2 years ago the Electronic hand brake switch became intermittent. It was reported and recorded and the Paid to have it reprogrammed?? Twice. A conversation with Faizel and myself suggested that if this Continued, warentee should cover it. It continued. Guess what. Out of warentee now The SWITCH NEEDS REPLACING AT THIER COST. SHAME ON THEM. On collection Today I suggested that they look at goodwill as they should have replaced it under warentee even if part was not covered as my daughter has already paid twice to have it sorted. William simpson is not the friendly bussiness that started up on main road Lakeside decades ago. Shame on you. Over 3k to replace now when it has been attended to on. Multiple occasions. All documented.
