After trying to a claim for a deceased family member (mother of 72) who was covered in an up to date (paid) funeral policy. This undertaker did not answer his business phone number. He did not even bother to call back. I eventually got hold of him after 2 hours of trying! No apology from him. They arrived an hour later to remove her corpse from home. By now this corpse has been laying at home for 3 hours. On arrival the undertaker informs me that the deceased was not covered under my policy. We spent another half hour arguing. He even threatened me with not removing the corpse and demanded cash to do so. He only removed the corpse after I produced proof of the deceased being covered. This means I've done his admin. A few days after the burial, I requested my policy document which until now ( 3weeks later) has not been delivered by email, as promised. During these 3 weeks I've been calling and sending messages to his business phone politely requesting the said policy document. All I got in return we're empty promises and lies. This undertaker has no regard for his clients or their families. No business etiquette. Poor administration. Poor communication. Poor business practice in general. No service level agreement. No proper disclosure. He brings the funeral undertaker business in disrepute with his thug attitude. I have submitted online complaints to the various national affiliations about his company. I am migrating to a known and reputable funeral director as soon as I have my docs and receipts ( which were never supplied after making EFT payments) from them. Consumers should be careful who they do business with. I'm naming and shaming Windle Funerals!!!
